I tend to only post when I can add some insight. And my opinion is generally that you take your point of view a little further than is necessary.

Your method of dating is likely going to make it harder for you to connect on a genuine level.Further, the insecurity does need to be addressed before you move forward into a dating situation.

Problematically, the insecurities we feel tend to undermine stable relationships if we aren't honest in confronting them.

I do agree that OP just put out what can only be described as a tall order lol
I completely agree with you, which is why I'm taking a break from dating to get my financial situation in check, as well as my health. I've been in a bit of a rut these past few months. I'm not as bad as you guys are making me out to be, trust me. I have no problems being honest even when I know that I may be giving trolls more ammo.

That would be psychological and it wouldn't be an attribute. I also admit that I have in some situations, projected past relationship adversities onto current. However, that's not always the case.

All joking aside;

That's smart, to get your financial situation in check.

But a big reason why you're probably getting chit is because you posted an OP that is rooted in the insecurity you carry rather than unconditional truth.

To be honest, in claiming that you look like "X/Y/Z" and that you have "another thing women love" you're coming off exactly like what you're trying to say you're not.

If you wanna be honest about your rut, solid, we all go through them and they get better. Don't make it worse for yourself by trying to "one-up" people with emptiness. This is coming from the ego, trying to build value for yourself--the same value you feel is destroyed by admitting your rut.

You're throwing these inane things out there that don't help your cause or make you seem any better than what you put out initially, specifically because you don't want to seem lesser than your ego believes you to be.

The truth is that we're all simple creatures with no real value other than the value we extract from ourselves. The one-upping is empty, because it means nothing to anyone.

So let's get down to the real nitty gritty;
Why do you think you posted this thread?
What were you hoping to extract from the responses?

I wasn't trying to one up anyone by making this thread, I was trying to help clueless miscers navigate the dating scene. Inb4 I'm said clueless miscer. Trust me, I also know about the ego and I do w/e I can to diminish it through self observance and honest critique of that self. I've read what plato, aristotle, nietzsche, and ekhart tolle have to say about the ego and while I'm far from perfect, I try to keep my ego in check. This thread was made to help. If I'm wrong, I'll admit it but you and vampire seem to agree with most of the OP so I'm a bit confused. I'm nothing but honest with woman IRL and I don't want to hurt anyone. Maybe I gave the OP a bit of a redpill flare to it that rubbed some of you the wrong way? IDK

I don't know what the OP made me seem like. What I do know is... I'm nothing but honest with every woman I'm intimate with. If I don't intend to develop a serious relationship with them, I'll flat out tell them in the most direct way possible. If they continue to sleep with me after that hoping for something more, is it my fault when I leave and they want more? fuk no. I'm good on my end. I seriously doubt you're anywhere near as honest as I am in the dating world. My ethics are solid. Are yours?

Edit: I expect a dodge and a deflection like every other sloot that I confront expecting honesty.

You're the one making a claim. So insisting that people who don't buy into them are just liars is akin to a Christian demanding that a nonbeliever answer a series of questions to prove their point. It doesn't work that way. You're making a series of claims, so the responsibility is on you to prove it if you need to do that. It's not on her or any of us to make your argument for you.

Read some facts about how people decieve and lie, then come back and reread my question and her response.
