However, the new AmEx Gold has 4x on supermarkets. Between you and your wife that might add up. Fee offsets include $100 airline credit, $120 at GrubHub/Seamless (and a few chain restaurants), so if you use those, the real annual fee is $30 - but you also get AmEx Offers, which are typically 15-30% off deals.
If your supermarket lets you buy gift cards with a CC, you can also use it to buy third-party vendor cards like Home Depot, etc., and get the 4x on those that way. (Just don't use it for cash-equivalents like Visa gift cards, they'll shut you down.)
I think the current signup bonus is 25,000 points plus 20% off dining during your first few months, up to $100. There are 50,000 point targeted offers going around.
EDIT: My referral code is good for 50,000 points on Gold. If you want it, PM me.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

Don't really have a preference on Airlines. I fly out of a small airport that basically has the big 3 (no southwest).
I should mention my wife has 120k AA miles and 80k Delta
I'd like to focus on stockpiling some airline miles for a business/first class ticket to Aus/Asia sometime in 2020.

For somebody who doesn't travel, Chase Amazon Prime is a good one: 5% off Amazon Prime, 2% at restaurants, gas stations, drugstores, 1% on everything else. No fee.

I sign up for a Delta card now. Get an Amex card mid next year.
That could easily get us in the 150k each level for Delta
Thoughts on that?

They're a lot more picky than they used to be on handing them out too. My wife applied for one recently and they weren't handing it over unless she had a separate business address. We do a lot of business with Chase too

Personally, I have Delta Platinum but it's just for perks. Moving $25,000 in spend away from other cards to hit the mileage boost wouldn't make sense.
As for transfer partners, both Chase and AmEx allow you to transfer to Flying Blue, the Air France/KLM program. You can buy Delta tickets through them and the awards tickets are often better, so if you end up with a big pool of Chase UR/AmEx MR points you need to merge when the time comes, that's a way to do it. Sometimes AmEx even runs specials giving you a bonus on transfers.
(EDIT: I also have a referral code for you on the Delta Platinum, tho. 60,000 mile bonus compared to standard 35k, I think.)
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

Since I haven't seen anyone bring it up yet, I wanted to suggest the Uber visa card.
It has no annual fees and has:
4% on eating out (restaurants, fast food, bars, drinks etc)
3% on on hotel and airfare
2% online purchases (Amazon, Walmart, Bestbuy, Target etc.)
1% everything else
It also gives up to $600 for mobile phone damage or theft when you pay your mobile phone bill with the card.
Very well rounded card and looks nice as well.

going to product change my reserve to freedom once my second annual fee hits, and upgrade to amex. I hear if you do it early enough after your enrollment anniversary date, they will refund the fee even if you already used the travel credit.

LAME. Started to log into my capital one card portal (first account ever. keep it open just for increased credit history length) to check credit score, then I remembered "ah fuk. why use this weirdass vantage proprietary score when I can go into my AmEx account and get my true FICO?"
Log into my amex portal instead and the "What's My FICO Score?" link is gone. Instead it's "Free Credit Score and Report" son of a bitch... sure enough, they switched to that poverty Monopoly money "VantageScore3" credit score. I've personally found this score to be as far off as 50 points from my true FICO store. I'd bet anything AMEX dropped the FICO score at the end of the year. You gotta watch these CC companies brahs. They'll do anything to save a buck.

My sister got the AMEX Platinum. She gets the fee waived due to her line of work. Since she can't reach the $5000 in three months I asked her to add me to her account so I can purchase things on it so she can reach the bonus. Doing my brotherly duties for her

Hotel (Sock Drawer) card: Hilton Honors Ascend or SPG card. Annual fees $95. When I vacation, I almost always use airbnb for a more authentic experience, however I'm certain I could make use of an annual free night for a domestic weekend trip.
Dedicated Airline card: Potential redundancy here given my amex plat card I book work travel on. But I see some use of holding the United Explorer card. Though I'm not a fan of the airline, I do end up on their planes more often than not.

One of the more difficult to use Amex Platinum benefits is a bullchit $100 sak's fifth statement credit that they split into $50 credits you can use semi annually. So $50 statement credit January to June, and another one July to December.
I don't shop at Sak's so I never use the credit but decided to get my girl a Chanel fragrance for Valentine's Day, and realize they carry this at Sak's. Brb $120 fragrance for $70. Das it.

I love my Bank of America card. I've used the rewards for airline and hotel. I'd guess that I've been on 8 domestic flights (mostly to Hawaii and Florida) and stayed for 7 nights of hotels from my credit card usage. Before the BofA card I used the AAdvantage.

I will be house hunting in 2020. Most this year is focusing on increasing my net worth.

Sister got her points from the AMEX when I used it. I need to churn another card on my own actually. I have to wait another year until I'm eligible for the Chase Sapphire Reserve's bonus since I have a preferred. Need to look at another card to use. Maybe something without an annual fee.

Chase Ink Preferred Holders: Questions:
So I'm thinking of getting a CIP b/c of its bonuses and benefits. My questions are:
- Is the annual fee waived for this card?
- What constitutes a business to qualify for it? If you sell items on eBay does that qualify?
Also if anyone wants to throw me a referral link I can use so you guys get some points then lemme know!

Bump.
I just opened up the Capital One Savor card but I'm looking to open up another card as I have many expenses coming up and want to earn as many cash bonuses as possible. Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't have an AMEX so I was thinking getting one of them. I currently have 5 cards open with a very low utilization rate and a credit score around 790.
Thanks brahs.
