I'm reposting what I already mentioned (but doubt anyone read). This why. They CPD said they want to use their resources (LITERALLY what i mentioned...resources aka money... like what i said below) to fight violent-crimes. No point in arguing about the nuances of the case as many many posts here are doing.

I wouldn't put any stock into the FBI doing anything at all. Obama aides were already trying to have the Chicago PD turn over the rest of the case to the FBI so it could quietly be excused away.
