Down to 174. Our resident Yoda said to have a carb refeed, so I did on Sunday with a huge bowl of cereal (1100 calories). Scale moved down a few days later.

Found a measuring tape so I'll be tracking waist and neck numbers over the scale though. That's more telling than the scale in my opinion.

I started cutting immediately after a year long layoff from lifting. Basically one day went from eating anything I wanted at 205 pounds, not doing any exercise at all, to lifting 3-4 times a week and eating a deficit so I'm wondering if I'm gaining back the muscle I had previously and losing fat at the same time.

Strength keeps going up. 4 weeks ago was back up to 325 x 3 on deadlifts. Yesterday re-tested with that weight and got 325 x 8 solid reps.

Bench has gone from 165 x 5 to 165 x 10 (always been a week bencher). OHP from sets of 5 with 95 to 120.

Chin ups for 3 reps of body weight to sets of +20 pounds weighted for 6-8.

I just need to stay on course. I keep forgetting it's still only March. Plenty of time still as long as I don't go full retard.

Natty bodybuilding hits me hard right now.
Nature of the beast man. I definitely notice that when I eat cleaner and trim down I lose a bit of top-end strength. I'm blessed with such a metabolism that I can still crush carbs and it makes little difference to my BF but when I cut them out I feel weak in the gym. Might have to pick your days to load on carbs the day prior to whichever muscle group you really want to hit hard and strong. It makes a difference.

Excellent job at acquiring the Shredz!

This is a good example how one looks bigger, at 155lbs, when shredded than when weighing more and one is a bit fluffy!

Do you think you could get more shredded with more striations?

Thanks!

Defenitely.
In certain lighting I already see tricep striations/shoulder/chest etc. They are just not as pronounced. It would be just a matter of time tho.
I dont feel well right now tho. Energy levels are rather low, training is pretty exhausting and Im losing a bit of strength, got some brain fog too.

I still have to work on my weak points and dont see the point yet to push towards the edge. Next week Im gonna slowly get back into lean gainz again.
The only reason to go even lower would be a photoshoot, but thats not gonna happen until Im 90% satisfied with my physique.

A carb refeed might help with some of this.

Will you be posting pics after you carb up?

BRB: you not looking very flat in those pics.

I might do that. I hate taking pics with my phone since the lens always distorts things.

Yea I just ate a good amount of carbs and feel alot better. Its usually in the gym and right after where I really feel worse than usual.

What I also noticed is that drinking alot of Water and low carb intake is not a good combination for looks. I drink about 4 liters everyday for the last 2 weeks and that stuff just goes right under my skin instead filling up the muscles. So I miss the fullness but lose sharpness at the same time.
You can see that in the first picture. My skin looks really soft but I have veins running up my stomach. Usually I look really grainy at that bf.

The full from carbs pics might help first time cutters get an idea what is meant by this.
Many think they've lost muscle and quit cutting. When all they lost was glycogen in the muscles.

Well if you are eating low carbs that means there is very little glycogen for the water to move into the muscles.
Eat more carbs and WHAM! looking all aesthetic and swoll.

This happened to me after one of my shows. I was eating high fat/high protein/low carbs to get shredded, see avi.

The Sunday after the show I ate food but I supplemented it with potato chips and pretzels throughout the day.
Monday morning I got up looked in the mirror and was like WTF!! Who is that.
If only I had eaten like that Friday before the show.

Still can't get down to the last few desired body fat percentages despite operating on a large calorie deficit. I can't post know, but a few weeks/months ago I posted a pic of me with my full 6 pack showing. I bitched about a little bit of lower back fat still hanging around and so far I have gotten a little bit of it off I feel, but not 100%. Anyways, I've fuked up my dieta few times, but the last month has been near perfect if not actually perfect. I'm heading to my home county for vacation on April 7-15 and I'm tryna get as lean as I can by then, but I feel like I've plauteud hard. Still at the 168-172lbs range and don't know what to do. I was hoping I'd be at 166-167 by now heading to 164-165 by the time of my trip.

Sorry, can't post pics cuz I'm omw to work, but I'm thinking about doing a refeed soon. What do you boyos think? I don't have much experience with refeeds, but if you boyos could recommend a kunt a little guideline it'd be much appreciated. I'm thinking of doing 350g of carbs, 40g fat, and 130g protein for my refeed days. Lemme know what ya thinking. I'm pretty sure I'm in the 12%-13% range so I'm going off that.

And when I told this to her she said that my inability to 'praise myself' is a sign of 'body dysmorphia' but my point is this: if I'm not happy with how I look now (and I'm not, and based on bb09's post I think I have years to go) why isthat a problem? Why can't we be self-critical, perhaps even harshly so, without it being 'body dysmorphia'?
Self-criticism can be undesirable (eg because a product of dysfunction) or it can be desirable (eg because it is warranted). I would be surprised if you had body dysmorphia, given that it apparently affects around just 2.4% of the population. Being dissatisfied with your appearance is not the same ashaving a mental disorder called body dysmorphia. My advice, in this case, would be to actually accept your wife's compliments - accept that she loves what she sees, and don't reject her expression of that by saying, 'Meh'. You can still strive for more, but don't make her feel like her expression of her appreciation of your body is wasted. She loves you, and she's trying to show that.

Usually I double my daily carb intake on a refeed. I usually don't eat more than 200g per day. I will also lower my fat macros for the refeed.

Also Stop worrying about bf% and the number on the scale.

Ive been using the sunbed already ~20-30 times this year, my tanning skills are a joke. I also get a sunburn rather fast.
I do however make progress, it has been alot worse in the past.
I got brown eyes/hair, my whole family gets tanned relatively easy, might be adopted...

Beta Carotin, year round. It gets better every year. I was like you and now I go into the sun for a few days in March and people ask me where I‘ve been to vacation. Never used a sunbed in my life.

However, for your skin‘s aging, it‘s probably better to stay white. I wasn‘t too interested in my skin color when I was younger which now pays off. It‘s a trade-off.

Yes skin aging worries me but Im fine with just having some color. Not gonna do it excessively.

edit: just did some research on Beta Carotin, will try.

Woke up today and looked lean af, still weighted the same lmao but fuk it I'll do a refeed and see how it goes. If I drop another 1-2lbs after the refeed awesome, but if not fuk it's I'm already looking great with near 6 pack (the last 2 peak in and out depending on my carbs I think lol).

I've gained 28lbs in 3 months from eating like **** and not being consistent with my diet and the gym. But, I'm going back on my diet today and going back to the gym and doing cardio everyday with no days off.

I weigh 196lbs and want to get down to 160lbs by mid July. I'm starting today and I'm excited for the journey that lies ahead.

My shoulder is acting up. Seeing a doctor next week to see what's going on. Hopefully I'll still be able to lift in the future after knowing what's up with it. I dont know what's going to happen. But, I'm going to do everything in my power to start lifting again as soon as possible.

I will post my progress here and keep you guys updated on how I'm doing.

I will always follow my own path and stay true to myself and my heart, to do what I feel is right

Thanks!

Usually my weight goes up for a day or two after a refeed, food in the gut and water is what I think.
Then it starts to drop.
It is sort of like giving my metabolism a kick start.

I'm definitely going to check this out. A little color goes a long way. I dont worry about my body to much, but I always make sure to protect my face. That's where the years will really show.
