What i got out of it, theres less stds, less teen pregnancy, aids at all time low.
I think all adults (not just the college age crowd) are having less sex is because theres more interesting shyt to do. Lettuce beef realistic, in the older days you often fuarked because you had nothing better to do. I dont find any red flags in that article really, or none of that 80/20 or other garbage.

If you only have 20 people around you but you bang half of them because it’s convenient and easy, you’re at the same level as someone who has access to 1,000 people through the internet but who only bangs 1% simply because of the logistics of wooing new randoms, driving around to meet them, etc etc

And if there’s any truth to what I’ve been led to believe about the 60s and 70s, including stories from my dad, everyone was banging everyone back then

I’d say less steady relationships(sources of constant sexors), and less IRL interaction. Sure, you can meet tons of people online, but how often do you actually meet up with them? Also, I think maybe the participation trophy era made people think they deserve better than they actually do.

60% of American population is overweight or worse. So we're less attractive.

And then add 80-20 rule stuff and it's easy to see. Lots of men are incels and lots of women that would have dated those incels are occassionally getting fuked by guys out if their league through tinder etc.

Yea, 60's = advent of birth control. They went buck wild

But still theres a lot of things to it. Teen pregnancy being down could be birth control. Then id want to know if the # of partners is self reported, cause that wouldnt be true at all.

But lets even compare advertising nowadays. How many more sexual ads are people exposed to? Yea, there was sexual advertising even far back. But when i was a teen do you remember being constantly exposed to sexual ads? I dont. Victorias secret magazine was a rarity and so cherished because of it. Porn took on slowly but surely bht even still. Thats just commercial advertising

Hell, the famous girls on instagram are another form of advertising causing envy in the young girls and theyre emulating them because of it

Women can have sex easily, so if theyre participating in it even a little bit. I guarantee you theyre not going home empty handed/ not participating. A girl is not gonna just sit there getting rejected

I agree with you that when you think about it casual sex is completely pointless besides adding another notch on your belt to boast about to your buddies if that's what you are going for. I only bother with ONS if I find the chick completely top notch in my standards and just really irresistible. I am also extremelly paranoid about STDs so there's that.

Casual sex is so not the point of living. No joke, if I could remove only my constant and unyielding need to orgasm, I think I’d be a lot happier. If everything else remained the same and I just didn’t feel that drive but could switch it on to make babies, I would do it in a second.

That constant need for sex served us well through our evolutionary history, it’s what allowed us to propagate as a species. Nowadays we control pregnancy regardless, and that drive for orgasms is really nothing more than a burden
