Eh, even I'm going to jump on the 'show is chit' bandwagon at this rate. Bronn was one of my favorite characters and he just...simply believes that someone who isn't the ruler can promise that he will become Lord of Highgarden? He was never that stupid, and it is out of character, big time.

Why is Sansa so determined to be a kunt to Dany? What has she done to her? Its not like she heard tales of Dany burning whole cities down to the ground either. She doesnt know about her executing the Tarlys either. All she's done is try to be nice to her, and save her entire goddamn family and castle from getting REKT by the night king.

If they were going to kill a dragon just like that in E4 then why didn't they just do it during The Long Night?

Would've made the episode better since main characters didn't die. Both the dragons got fuked up during the battle anyways. Not to mention the death would've had more meaning and be more impactful if the Night King did it instead of Euron doing it out of the blue

Those who have read the spoilers, the actual ones which are looking more and more real, does anyone think D&D are just going off the rails with their own writing and not following GRRM's plot (or that Martin didn't give them a whole lot of specifics, just broad details to wrap up)?

Im interestred to see what happens to Jamie. Will he die from Cersi, or kill her himself.

I dont know if we have seen the last of the night king and whitewalker story. Im guessing episode 6, we will get a little more. (This will lead to a spinoff)


Episode 5 is going to be the best episode of the season. Its like this with every season of GoT. The second to last episode is always the best. Emilia even confirmed it on Jimmy Kimmel. Dany, has the north, the iron fleet, drone and whats left of her army to fight Cersi. Along with a dragon.

She pledged to commit her troops in the fight against the undead.... and reneged.

She blew up the Sept with hundreds of innocent people in it (not to mention almost the entire Tyrell family).

She sent a sellsword to assassinate BOTH of her brothers.

Brandon, Ned's older brother went to King's Landing and told Aerys II, father of Rhaegar, that the above was not really cool.

Aerys took Brandon hostage, and demanded his - and Ned's any Lyanna's - father (Rickard Stark) as ransom.

Rickard Stark rode to KL, Aerys executed them both in a gruesome fashion.

I've been watching GoT since season 1 episode 1. They are undoubtedly doing stupid chit this season. You won't see me complaining in all of the other mega threads. If you don't want to hear people complain then how about you lock yourself in an echo chamber and fist yourself.
There are legit gripes to be had about the show but people take it to another level.

I don't like some of the things they've done but I can understand why they do some of them(time & budget)

Has the show been perfect this season? Hell no.

Has it still been great TV? Yes.

People can complain all they want that we're getting shortened seasons without GRRM direction/writing to back it up but it's not going to change anything.

I'll see how the season plays out before coming in to bitch one way or another.

They could've explained the NK this episode, but they didn't. They didn't mention the NK at all aside from praising Arya for killing him. Bran said nothing and this episode went straight into the battle.


The show will end without another mention of the NK now, I assume.

Honestly, I think Ep 4 was the best episode of the season so far. There was some real tensions in some of the dialogues.

The only scene that bothered me as I was watching it was when the Scorpions were literally taking giant chunks out of the ships.

Yeah I thought The Long Night was significantly worse

But The Long Night also killed a big part of GoT for me, and I think my newly-lowered expectations are helping me simply enjoy what's now unfolding. My investment in the series as a whole has gone waaaaaay down, so there's not much left to be upset about in terms of story, strategy, etc

IMDB is known for their fake votes. If you look at the reviews for it, everyone rates it either a 3/10 or a 1/10. If you look at the highest rated reviews, they're all 10/10's by new accounts who only reviewed that particular episode.

Dragons and zombies are fine, they introduced these concepts quickly or organically, so we accept them. However, we also see that in every episode gravity more-or-less works exactly like we know it to exist in our world, nobody has ever suggested it works otherwise, so ifall of a sudden for no reasongravity on GoT goes backwards or is ignored -- that is a major problem.

Well the Night King pole vaulting a spear into a dragon mid air is one example of gravity not working as you would like.

Second in the books, Meraxes, one of the dragons used by Aegon the Conqueror was killed similar. Yes this was a shot in the eye. Still, that was 100 years in the past. There is a possibility Qyburn could make this device more advanced. He is a crazy genius, who did bring back the mountain.
