The best part of this season is that it might motivate that fatass GRRM to finish the books and tell the story he wanted since they butchered it so bad.
Last year I spent more money on spilled liquor in bars than 99% of miscers make in a year.

If you look at the highest rated reviews, they're all 10/10's by new accounts who only reviewed that particular episode.
The real rating is far lower.

The harshest ratings are probably found on metacritic sites like rotten tomatoes and there the episode gets a 6.7/10 - the Long Night gets 7.4/10.

I don't care what the actual episode's rating is worth. However the rating that it has on IMDB is heavily altered by bots rating it a perfect 10.

If you think its a 1-3 out of 10, then GOT must be the only TV show you have seen since The Wire.

Martin wrote far too many characters and plot threads - Dorne, Young Griff, Highgarden, White Walkers etc - and he has most likely no idea how to tie them up.
He probably has an idea on the final ending, but no idea how to get there. But now he gets to pump out prequels/sequels and tease ppl and tease ppl that he can come up with a much better ending than D&D.

I was actually reflecting back on when I first started reading ASOIAF and watched the 1st season. I remember GRRM painting a picture of just how ****ed up a place Westeros - along with the rest of the world - really is. There were so many ruthless politically savvy sociopaths vying for power that you feel almost helpless when experiencing GRRM's world through the eyes of one of his many POV characters. It's like each character was constantly walking a tightrope and any misstep could mean death. Characters like Varys and Littlefinger made you feel small, making you the reader wonder how in the hell the protagonist is going be able to outmaneuver them, or if that's even going to be possible. The early seasons of GOT did a fantastic job of bringing GRRM's vision to life.
Now when I watch GOT Seasons 7/8, I feel like I could walk into Westeros and conquer it with little effort because I'm not a complete total retard like the majority of the characters vying for power. The immersion is completely broken.

I simply mentioned imdb because the person posting the rating of it, posted a picture of the imdb website rating and i wanted to make known that imdb is known for using bots to artificially make the rating higher.
And rottentomatoes aint all that either. Didn't they delete bad reviews from black panther, claiming it was racists for giving it a bad rating? lol.

So far the witch's prophecy has come true. In order to not chit on the entire series Cersi has to be killed by Tyrion or Jamie.

Im pretty sure Jaimie is going to try and stop/kill Cercei. But to be honest it wouldn't surprise me if he went to save her. I mean he is all about his family and his house, the only thing that got in the way was fighting for the living, which went above any house. Now that NK is dead, it would actually be of no shock if he went back to going balls to the wall for his house.

I also dont think the episode/ season was atrocious like some of you phucks.
I swear you will whine about anything. Fine any little detail in something and hate on it.
I was sad to see the dragon die, but it had to be done for the final battle. Two dragons vs Cersi is just unfair. They need to make it more even.
To the whiny phuck giving us velocity and trajectory lessons from these crossbows...you do know this is a show with dragons and zombies right? Phuck off *******
I dont understand Dany and Tyrion showing at Kings Landing. Part of my wants to believe it was done to show the city that they wanted peace. And that anything that happens now is because of Cersi.
Someone whined about why didnt they shoot Tyrion and Dany while they were standing there? Has that ever happend? There is always a meeting prior. And then a war. No one ever shoots up the group before the war. Even Cersi has honor.
Sansa spilling the beans to Tyrion is a LittleFinger move. She doesnt like Dany. Dont see why people are whining about this.
Im interestred to see what happens to Jamie. Will he die from Cersi, or kill her himself.
I dont know if we have seen the last of the night king and whitewalker story. Im guessing episode 6, we will get a little more. (This will lead to a spinoff)
Episode 5 is going to be the best episode of the season. Its like this with every season of GoT. The second to last episode is always the best. Emilia even confirmed it on Jimmy Kimmel. Dany, has the north, the iron fleet, drone and whats left of her army to fight Cersi. Along with a dragon.

Last time I checked she doesn't have many of those left, actually none.

Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

HBO orders the seasons - HBO doesn't want to spend the money, HBO asked them to wrap it up in a shortened season. That's it.

Just googled GRRM and this came up lolhttps://www.express.co.uk/entertainm...ron-Throne-die
Seems like he's very disappointed with the way things turned out.

Oh, and speaking of television, don’t believe everything you read. Internet reports are notoriously unreliable. We have had five different GAME OF THRONES successor shows in development (I mislike the term “spinoffs”) at HBO, and three of them are still moving forward nicely. The one I am not supposed to call THE LONG NIGHT will be shooting later this year, and two other shows remain in the script stage, but are edging closer. What are they about? I cannot say. But maybe some of you should pick up a copy of FIRE & BLOOD and come up with your own theories.
Maybe we will actually get answers for the Night King/WW'shttp://georgerrmartin.com/notablog/2...nd-nonsense-3/

So her allowing Bronn to be Lord of Highgarden because Tyrion promised it to him so that he didn't murder him might be plausible...

You still wouldn't want an illiterate mercenary like Bronn in that position. Here's what Tyrion and Jaime would have done in previous seasons:
1. Order the guards to apprehend Bronn once he left the building.
2. Kill Bronn.
