The show is trying to make her look nuts because Targ bloodline, etc. and now, her advisors are scheming to get rid of her. Its kind of a fuked up way to write her ending but it is what it is at this point.
Its in line with most of the other deaths too, paragons of virtue that end up getting outfoxed by the unethical types. Except it looks like she might turn bad in time to burn it all to the ground.

People can talk chit about the direction the show has taken, I'm in full agreeance that it is rushed as hell and they're scrambling to tie things up, probably at the behest of the HBO execs more than anything else, but they still have time to tie up some major story threads in a decent way and Danys arc is one I want to see done well.

I don't think the writing is bad, I think the runtime they have to squash that amount of writing into is bad. They probably had/have well written and fully fleshed out storylines all ready to go and had to start trimming, then trimming more, and more and more until they ended up with what we have. HBO wants it wrapped up and they want it wrapped up now for some reason, that reason probably being that they don't see the return they want on funding that extra season we needed to wrap things up properly. I'd wager that it was a hard negotiation to even have HBO give them three 80-90 minute episodes.

This guy gets it.
Everyone is forgetting about the position Cersi was in at the time she used Wildfire.

You don't agree that the all the things she's experience this season; losing her love, finding out she has a legitimate challenge to what she's believe since she was young was her lifelong destiny, losing a dragon, losing her 2 best friends, experiencing hostility from northerners, etc, are credible circumstance for her worst elements to come to the surface?
slave owners had it coming
Like Tyrion said (and it was shown) there were consequences to her harsh rule, and she even executed innocent people (like the man who came and said that his father wanted to free/end slaves... Or something like that).

Now in this episode after her dragon was killed, she's ready to commit straight genocide on the people of king's landing, just to get to Cersei.

Jon nor Sansa would be willing to kill the people for the Throne.

Nah HBO practically begged them to do 10 seasons.

Writers wanted out so they can go help ruin Star Wars and make their own show called Confederate where the North didn't win the Civil War. I'm sure these two turds will really handle that nuance well.

What would be bad about that? There'a certain symmetry to him being known originally as "kingslayer" and him possibly ending up being "queenslayer" as well... and once agin.... for the good of the realm.

Him killing Brienne would be even more WTF than the love scene that just happened between them. A shock just for kicks.

Still maintain that Brienne should have died in the Long Night battle along with Greyworm. Literally no purpose in having those 2 around anymore.

Man, at this point anything beats "unexpected" again.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

Man dude you're really nut hugging the writing in this season hard.

In all the previous seasons Bronn was a cheeky kunt. Even cheekier around the Lannister dudes. He's not once been portrayed as an ******* villain. Then in this one scene he comes rolling up on the two dudes he's been coolest with in the entire show and goes full on villain *******. The entire scene was just terribly written.

Everyone i watched the show with were totally shocked at the 200% roid rage moment Bronn showed from the beginning of the scene. The writers goofed by not providing a catalyst for his over the top anger. He should of been a cheeky kunt at first... then roid raged. Instead they left out the cheeky kunt stuff completely. Which made the scene seem completely unauthentic.

I'm not sure why Jamie and Brienne surprised anyone, I thought that it was clear they had feelings for each other since they parted once she brought him to King's landing.

I don't know how you would call the first 35 minutes 'feminist trope', it involved 40 somethings Giant milk brah and The Hound getting offered sex from college aged girls. It involved a bunch of dudes drinking, and congratulating each other on fighting well.

You also seemingly ignored Dany teary eyed begging of Jon, and Brienne teary eyed Begging of Jamie. Men begged women, and women begged men.

I guess this is how you ruin a show (re: current season). First Lost, now this.

I miss how GoT used to be 10-hour movies every season, but the writing is killing it completely now.

I thought he was still his usual cheeky kunt self. He fired the crossbow because Tyrion called him out as not being a danger to them and he pulled that punch on Tyrion and joked about knowing what it feels like to break a nose, again, because Tyrion called him out as not being dangerous to them. He was just laying down the law but still showed them some love as an old friend in his own way.

It didn't seem overly ragey to me at all. He was in an entirely hostile place so it wasn't off for him to be a bit more blunt and on edge considering he probably just climbed a wall and snuck into the bedroom of the Queens hand. He honoured the deal Tyrion made with him he said his piece, listened to theirs then left after wishing them luck in his own uniquely Bronn way.

When its a Queen standing at your gate for a parley and you shoot her down without provocation, the world will turn on you in an instant and you won't be afforded any mercy. If you don't follow the most unbreakable rules the world has to offer then nobody can work with you, not only can they not work with you but they'll join any side opposing you and withdraw all support.
It was a wedding, and everyone had guest right. It has been mentioned in the show before, and also the books. Breaking guest right is one of the most "evil" things that can be done in this society. In no world is attacking someone during a parlay outside your gates going to be considered more "evil" than slaughtering guests you've invited to a wedding.

What Plausible deniability? And to whom? Joe blow on the street doesn't care about her fuking honor. He cares about fuking his wife and his kid eating. The idea that the "common folk" would rise up against Cersei for dishonoring a Parlay with a Queen of Savages, Northman Hillbillies, and eunuchs is laughable bro. As far as the other Lords of the Seven Kingdoms go. What fuking Lords? Her Army is primarily Mercenaries and Pirates with Lannister men to back it up.

Who the fuk are you talking about? Who the fuk is the world in regards to turning on Cersei?
Dorne? Already for Dany.
North? Already for Dany.
Tyrell? Dead, were for Dany.
Tarly? Dead/for Dany
Storms End? They were for Stannis/Renly. Dead.
Eyrie? For Dany
Riverrun? For the North or dead.

There is no "World" to turn on Cersei that hasn't already turned on her, and certainly no one is that is going to turn on her for breaking Parlay at this point. You're just trying to explain away something stupid that doesn't deserve it. The writing is just bad. It's fine if you still enjoy it.

Dang, the leaps these ******* writers took. Making Sansa a power broker when Robin really is. Building up tension with Dany when clearly they shouldn't be because she fuking saves them! Varys lol, why wasn't he littlefingered, i mean he also betrayed Ned, brb Bran still uploading memories must be.

Looks like Cersai, Euron got some of that Stark plot armor.
Dragons in the air can't spot ships miles away, but but but they were hiding behind a cliff...then how did they fire clear shots and how did said ships fire accurate arrows in a moving sea, geezus.

They are making it worse instead of better, do they actually plan out the writing at this point?

He is a cutthroat/sellsword.

1. Tyrion meets him, because he needed a champion and he decided he will risk it for the money, they had no allegiance before
2. Jaime promises him a Castle and a Wife for his services

From his perspective he hasn't been paid and doesn't want to hear chit from them, other than what he can get for sparing their lives, rather than saving their lives in the past.

Let me guess, you wanted a brohug and then they crack open a few beer and have a battle of funny one-liners?
we just going to ignore the fact that Bronn has regressive character arc + suddenly became batman and shows up and dissapears at will now

Everyone mad about how Bronn acting with Tyrion/Jaime.

I'm just here wondering how someone like Bronn can stroll into enemy territory during an active war with a giant ass loaded Crossbow and just stroll to wherever the Hand of the Queen is drinking.
Pretty sure with this writing team, "20 good men" could just end the whole war right now. Just roll up and assassinate Jon/Dany/Sansa since they all just chill unguarded in a city that apparently has open gates and lets just whoever the fuk roll into town armed then have freedom to move about the castles as they please.

that entire scene was a big cringe fest

we all knew Bronn wouldn't harm either Jamie or Tyrion. That "attempt" at intimidating them by shooting the arrow at the wall was so predictable.

Anyone banking on the loyalty of sellswords is asking for problems.
