There are quite a few gates that could have been, all of them open up onto a poverty field, the outer gates aren't really a major defensive position pre dragon, its the inner defense layers that do all the heavy lifting in a siege which is why the population try to jam into the walls of the Red Keep.



Personally, I think they were at the gate of the gods. Its lacking some features described by the book but its a corner piece, IIRC you can see two edges of the city in the final meeting.

cool map thanks! The desolation just threw me a bit off. Always thought kingslanding was in a forrested area, but i guess it makes sense to deforest the areas around the outer walls.

Tbh the show was better when GRRM was still involved. The show took a nosedive after D&D ran out of material from GRRM.

You know whats missing from all the new episodes?? Teddies.

They used to have atleast a pair on display every episode. Not this season. Not even the whores Sansa lined up for Tormund and the Hound. smh. Used to be cinematographic masterpieces.

I never said she was humble, she was begging Jon though.

She also was portrayed as being hysterical.
You don't need to be a miscer to see the ultra-feminist undertones that are woven throughout the plot. EVERY strong male character has been subjugated, killed ... or has no balls (literally lol).
Every female character has either been abused, raped (Dany was literally crying her first time, Sansa got raped, Cersei got raped), or is killed.

Jon Snow is (IMO) the only moral exemplar of the show, none of the women have that IMO. Definitely not Cersei, and not Dany.

1. Bronn was ALWAYS motivated by his own gain, show me one altruisitic moment where he didn't had something to gain, just one
2. Jaime and Tyrion don't have the power, but they are the closest thing to debtors he has that are tied to Daenerys. When he starts talking to them he EXPLICITLY states that Daenerys has dragons and he rather has a promise for their side than Cersei, who will probably be a crispy bacon in a few moments
3. Why shouldn't he be able to get into Winterfell at this point !?!? First off, half the people that were there are dead. Of those living, some are injured, some are drunk (it was the night of celebration). The dragon fuked up a lot of walls, its not like its an impenetrable castle. There are thousands of new faces in Winterfell, Bronn doesn't stand out at all to random guards.
4. Bronn comes from the south, the NK came from the north ... why shouldn't he be able to make it to Winterfell?

I think we will see Bronn again, even though I am not excited for it. The stuff you guys are mad about is the lack of funny one-liners between Bronn and Jaime or Tyrion. Well, fuk, the world was a bit nicer back then - if you think their version of an apocalpyse (NK) or world war (KL vs Dany/North) doesn't change their demeanor ... dunno what to say.

In other words: they are killing off the CGI, because budget ... sucks, but thats what it is. But thats not the only reason - when you try to wrap up the story, you need to eliminate some of those "joker cards" you had everywhere. I mean, Melisandre ("red woman") and Beric could bring back the dead ... you can pull it off once (or for some character repeatedly), but eventually it takes away from the meaning of a characters death. BRB - Melisandre reanimating a dragon, reanimating Jorah, reanimating everyone ...

It's also a common theme in fantasy lore that Magic kind of fades away. The ancient times are ALWAYS full of magic, then as the civilizations progress, magic vanishes. The Children of the Forest are basically no more, their creation the NK is no more. The dragons of Essos are basically no more (Dany's dragons are - btw - really small, compared to what they used to have). Usually in these types of lores its tied to a change in worship or loss of worship. The Northeners used to pray to the Old Gods .... barely anyone still does. The Andals (modern Westerosi) pray to the Seven, which are seemingly far less involved in this world.

The show got too big for it's own good. The actors started demanding salaries that were out of budget and getting multi million dollar movie deals on the side at the same time, so they wanna jump ship to avoid being remembered for their GOT characters forever (besides the obvious monetary gain of movie deals). That, coupled with Dumb and Dumber running out of ideas and GRRM telling them to fuk off I'm "gonna finish Winds of Winter" resulted in the cluster fuk we got in season 7 and this utter piece of shiit we got now in season 8.
Its too late for that. They have saved by the bell syndrome.

Everyone remembers mark Paul gosselar as zack morris and this hurt his role to play in other movies and shows to this day.

So kit Harrington will always be jon snow. Dany was in solo and she was still dany to me. Man she is sexy. I would marry her.

How did tyrion get there so quickly after getting hit by a mast?

That takes place in Dragonstone - you can see the dragon carvings behind Varys and the Dragonstone table were they planned things in other episodes (Season 7, when Jon went there).

And its kinda obvious that time past in between those scenes ... otherwise how did Euron teleport from his ship to kneeling in front of Cersei?
