What's up with Dorne? I think they mentioned that there's a new prince and that they are willing to help Daenerys.
I'm guessing they'll show up with a massive army.. Otherwise i don't see how the few Unsullied and northemen will take the city. Unless they finally decide to stop nerfing the dragons and they go ham.

Exactly. I posted the clip and it did appear that it was just them talking. I mean he did rush over to Cersei and directly mention the kid, and Qyborn confirmed to Euron with a nod that she was preg, so I mean it's not unreasonable that he think Qyburn told him

Their going to show up last minute when Cersei is about to win and turn the tide like the Vale at Battle of the Bastards.

Something definitely has to happen. I saw a picture of a dude who was apparently cast that we haven’t seen yet who looks pretty Dornish. Either that or the Golden Company flips.

It's a really stupid fake conflict, there's two episodes left and we are supposed to care about Euron realizing that Cersei, who has been pregnant for god knows how long - and hasn't been showing signs - might not be pregnant with his kid.

No lol.... he’s not. Just because he played a Russian in Rounders doesn’t mean that he’s suddenly the go-to guy for guys playing Russians. His speech was slow and stilted it was like you could SEE him trying his best to pronounce every single word out of his mouth. Why not simply get a Russian (or at least Eastern European) actor instead?

Dude ... from wikipedia:
- His paternal grandparents were from Ozalj in Croatia
- In 1990, he recited, in Croatian, verses of the Croatian national anthem Lijepa naša domovino ...

If he can speak Croatian (slavic language) and has Eastern European ancestors ...

Again... this would have worked so much better if they DIDNT kill off Doran in that idiotic way. All they would have had to do is show a couple scenes here and there of Doran plotting in Dorne and then he would have been a legit option at the last minute.

As it stands now it would be kind of WTF for them to shoehorn the Dornish into things at this point.

The only season of Spartacus that I felt missed the mark was Season 0, which was the rushed filler season they did to buy time to see if Andy would recover or not, so I completely give it a pass -- just on the basis of them being loyal to Whitfield like that. Such a fuking amazing guy.

Season two took time to percolate as well, with the new lead (him being in soft shape due to the lack of training time didn't help), however I think it eventually regained composure and Season Three was as close to perfection as it could have been, ending on a truly epic note.

Sadly, not so sure we're heading that way here with GoT...

Lets see if the Magical Seamen says anything about the midget knowing about the baby, somewhere in the next two episodes. Just because they didn't show a scene zoomed in on his face showing the wheels turning in his head, doesn't mean nothing will come of it.

That or after enough people point it out, it can become an official "off screen discussion"

I’m not disputing his ancestry... I’m simply saying that his Russian accent sucks. It’s markedly different from any other Russian accent that I’ve ever heard in a movie or in TV (that isn’t a parody).

Unless you are Russian, I don't see how you can judge his Russian accent. I do have slavic roots, and I thought it was fine.

This is off-topic anyway.

It’s perfect for D&D though.

When you find out that D&D wrote episodes 3-6 and are directing episode 6........

Really?

Pretend this is "Generic Medieval Fantasy Show #3". You have a whole episode depicting a giant battle. That episode features literally zero knowledge of military strategy - they don't even understand what the purpose of a castle is or routine unit placement. In the same episode characters are just warping around the map depending on where they need to be to produce 'X' predetermined outcome. Characters are in situations wherein they are 100% dead - then the next scene they are somehow not in danger.

This is literally what this show has devolved to. Its like D-Grade stuff.

The previous episode was the strategy setup. Battlement setups were similar throughout GOT. We just disagree on this.

Let's see how the episode 5 battle is executed.

Good grief. John Malkovich grew up in rural Illinois a few miles away from me, in a town somehow far smaller than mine, around people with mid-South accents and Confederate flags on their pickup trucks. The area's so small a neighboring town just made international news because there's a pig on the loose and nobody can catch it. The airport is served by a Cessna.

Heritage is cool and all but just because his grandfather taught him enough Croatian to recite the national anthem does not make him a "Slavic guy" by any stretch of the imagination, nor give him any special insight into native-born Slavic peoples collectively, nevermind Russian oligarchs specifically.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

Which episodes have they directed previously?

Edit: Looks like they did "Two Swords" and then "Walk of Punishment"

Both were pretty well received. So still gives me hope. Although that has been awhile

Benioff and D. B. Weiss together directed two episodes of Game of Thrones, but used a coin-flip to decide who would get the credit on the show. Benioff was given the credit for season 3 episode 3, "Walk of Punishment", while Weiss was credited with season 4 episode 1, "Two Swords".[7] Benioff and Weiss will co-direct the series finale.[31]
