Game of thrones used to explain the impossible. Now it avoids the question.

The directing is not the issue you peasants, it's the writing.

Thanks for stating the obvious which we have discussed for 100 pages now. My point was, if D&D fuk up BOTH the story AND the directing, then it may be a really sad end.

With Sapochnik we at least know that the directing is decent.

What are the chances we see any of these characters in the remaining two episodes?

Jaqen is a huge maybe, Daario is almost a certainty. The Second Sons are a pretty major heavy armoured cavalry force and he was in love with Dany, he'll almost certainly show up if for no other reason than to have a spectacular cavalry charge to show.

The better question is why would you? All these characters’ arcs are done minus Nymeria and they literally just killed a dragon and told ghost to fuk off for no reason other than budget

Probably next to zero for any of them. Only ones I could see making a surprise appearance are Dario (with the Second Sons) and maybe Jaquen.

So i watched season 7 episode 3 again

There are some callbacks from last episode from it.

1. Tyrion says stark men dont fare well south. Jon snow says he is no stark.
2. Mellisandre says she has to return to die in westeros and said varys will die too(so im sure this will happen next episode in season 8)

I just hate that this entire episode and season led up to the battle with the NK and it was mishandled so badly with awful writing. They shouldve got peter jackson to direct that one episode at least.

Well....episode 3 was also poorly directed. Between visibility changing at random, to Theon somehow not being overrun in the first wight charge to the lighting, etc etc.

Ok.

The fukers even changed the whole location of KL, not to mention the mountains and forests and grass.

Video is from 5 episodes ago.

You know Casterly Rock and Kings Landing are two different places, right? That video is the attack on Casterly Rock, the Seat of House Lannister. And the scene from the last episode takes place at one of the outer gates, which there are maps of. The geography is correct man, you're just looking for chit to be wrong.

As for the map in the opening roll, its just an opening roll, they made the map look better.

No dip in viewership. Maybe we're the idiots who care too much and should just enjoy the show at this point.

"UPDATE, 12:54 PM: There were no viewership records broken by the latest episode of Game of Thrones this weekend, but the near end of the battle for the Iron Throne was still very strong.

With HBOGo and HBO Now data plus additional linear airs added, the May 5 “The Last of the Starks” snagged 17.2 million viewers.

Put in the bluntest terms possible, that’s a dip of 3.8% from the all-time series high of the epic battle of April 28’s “The Long Night, which was the longest GoT ever at 82-minutes. Slipping a scant 1.1% from the Season 8 opener of April 14, the fourth episode of the eighth and final season of GoT is actually the third most watched episode of the David Benioff and D.B. Weiss EP’d blockbuster ever."

I mean I'm still watching, but I'm not watching because of the quality of the show at this point. It's more like when you're driving and see an accident on the side of the road. You just have to look.

We've made it this far, might as well see it through at this point. Im more interested in how the show is being received by the general populace. Based on my Twitter feed, people are loving it although I like to think that the majority of twitter users I follow have a less than average IQ
