this. I doubt the actors are upset they are getting paid millions per episode to be a part of one of the greatest things ever filmed

Keanu Reeves has to be one of the best examples considering how much of an impact The Matrix had

Patrick Stewart is probably the best example of all. Dude had an absolutely iconic role in Star Trek: TNG for seven seasons and yet managed to branch out and kill it X-men along with voice acting all over the place. Being able to shake his Captain Jean-luc Picard mantle was impressive af

IDK I would imagine that Kit Harington or Emilia Clarke would want to explore other career avenues rather that play Jon Snow and Dany for the next 4-5 years.

NBC had to fork out $1M per actor per episode for the last couple years of Friends with $20M per actor per year in royalties. They wanted to do other stuff and needed huge money to keep going.

The Wire, Breaking Bad and now GOT are my top 3 shows ever. Only GOT has gone beyond 5 seasons. Sopranos last season (year 6) was controversial and rushed when it aired years ago.

My overall point is that all of these changes and recommendations are much harder than we give them credit for.

They’ve already done movies... and they’ve sucked.

Be careful what you wish for.

Edit: I could see this being more of an issue for people like NCW and Lena Headey... mainly because they’re much stronger actors.

You didn't like "Solo"?

I didnt watch it until it was on Netflix and gave it a go, and it really wasn't as bad as I thought.

Yeah I was simply pointing out that commitment of the actors is probably a reason why they have to wrap it up now. Creative people like to work on multiple projects over the course of their careers. It happens all the time in the music industry.

Anyone else love it if the Hound gets the kill on Cersei?

Would at least be a "twist" that could be exciting and unexpected.

Have a feeling all we are going to get is the most obviously chit though.

We have literally 100 pages of complaining because they didn't went the "obvious" route with the Night King.

Uhhhh.... no. That would make about as much sense as Arya killing the NK.

You're right, but it's a pretty obvious prediction. Euron has been built like Joffrey and Ramsay, we're supposed to gnash our teeth at him, so there will be a big comeuppance there and my guess it's dragon fire. Somehow the ridiculous crossbows will be neutered, at this point probably in as dumb a way as they magically became god-tier, and Drogon will get the last laugh.

Problem is, Euron has X-Pac heat, not Joffrey heat. As much as (at the time) I didn't like Ramsay as a villain, he's not looking so bad in retrospect. I won't cheer when he's gone, I'll just be glad it's over. Such a wasted character.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Why's that?

Arya's storyline never had anything to do with the White Walkers.

Hound lived in KL and used to serve under Cersei and was the bodyguard of her son.
He's the Valonqar of her current bodyguard.

Certainly be more exciting than Tyrion or Jaime doing it.

It wouldnt have been hard to replace them. Now they are ruining it so bad that they risk losing viewership for the spinoffs. They are totally Rian Johnson’ing this
There's no way GOT would've gone 11-12 seasons. You're beating a dead horse at that point. That's what happened to the Walking Dead. Incredible first few seasons but things got stale and people lost interest. HBO and GOT would definitely lose viewership if it went that long.

GRRM is an epic storyteller but he doesn't know chit about film and how it works. GOT has a huge ensemble cast, they have other obligations and things they want to do. I highly doubt any of them would want to stick around for 12 seasons unless it's the only work they had. Not to mention characters like Bran would be full blown adults at that point. GRRM takes part of the blame here. He's had plenty of time to finish the story. Instead, he's taking his sweet ass time which forced D&D to take over and now look at what we got

8 seasons would've been fine if they stuck to 10 episodes per season. We're missing out on 7 episodes which means 7 hours. With all the characters in GOT they needed those extra 7 hours to tie things up

I’m sure that D&D could find a way to make Podrick fight and kill the Mountain instead of the Hound.... doesn’t mean that they should do it.

You have a lot more faith in D&D than me friend.

Podrick has no real connection to the Mountain though.

When was the last time the Hound and Cersei even had a scene together?

At this point it HAS to be Jaime, Tyrion or Arya. Too much build up over multiple seasons to just discard those 3 and go another route (unless she’s assassinated by Jaquen).

I swear to god if Dany just dies and nothing ever comes from all of the foreshadowing that Dany will become pregnant again.....

Then again, D&D completing ignoring it at this point would just be par for the course.

The witch's prophecy says Jaime or Tyrion, this is assuming Jaime is the twin sibling who came second. Highest likelihood is Jaime, because I don't see how Tyrion even gets to Cersei, in Winterfell he was kept out of the battle and for good reason, why would he be allowed into King's Landing?

Arya is only an option because Cersei is on her list. However, she also has the Mountain and the Hound on the list. Much better ending is the Hound beats the Mountain in Clegane Bowl, then Arya facing the Hound. The outcome is irrelevant at that point. Either Arya kills him and stays true to the revenge path, or she walks away, showcasing a development in her character, because she already had the chance to kill him once and didn't, so realistically she shouldn't want to kill him any longer.

Arya doing it would pretty much make the prophecy useless (Would not put it past D&D). The Younger Brother will wraphishands around her throat and choke the life from her.

Arya isn't a he, or a younger brother, or the choking type.

Jaime is the most obvious choice, because it's the most obvious twist on Cersei believing it'll be Tyrion.
I think it'll be Jaime.

Far less convinced it'll be Jaime in the book though.

Still think I'd enjoy Sandor getting the kill tho, specially if he got some cheeky fukin lines in her face while doing it.

Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister) Julian Glover (Pycelle) Diana Rigg (Olenna Tyrell) Alexander Siddig (Doran Martell) Indira Varma (Ellaria Sand) Jerome Flynn (Bronn) Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) Owen Teale (Alliser Thorne) James Cosmo (Jeor Mormont) Aiden Gillen (Little Finger) Jonathan Pryce (High Sparrow) Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos) are all veteran actors who were reasonably to very famous and known prior to GOT. I can understand that they were likely more known in UK than USA and some had not gone international...however they were far from 'nobodies' prior to GOT.

At this point it HAS to be Jaime, Tyrion or Arya.Too much build up over multiple seasons to just discard those 3 and go another route (unless she’s assassinated by Jaquen).
