It used to be that I would get disappointed a bit from book deviations... Now even after lowering my expectations with each season, especially with a year break to become even less invested I am still somehow let down. The White Walker resolution was the kind of bad that not only tarnishes the series going forward, but makes the story before it lessened. They really should have had Bran actually do something in the fight, and have there be a more meaningful reason the NK needed him dead. Bran being such a major POV to only be a plot device, especially when characters explicitly told him he was training to beat the NK is silly. In regards to the Arya anticlimax I really don't mind it being her if it had been done in a remotely logical way.

I will give huge props though to the consistently excellent music, especially in that episode.

I could go on and on but the last thing I'll mention is that they reallllly should have killed off Bronn in episode 4 of last season. The battle in that episode was intense and having Drogon roast Bronn right after being shot would have been a great culmination to a fight with two sides the audience is supposed to care about, give Jaimie an even more compelling reason to charge Dany. They could have Dickon or someone save him(or save him in a less silly way). I thought it would have been powerful at the time, but held out judgement to see what they did with Bronn's character which was.... Ruin it. He is so off in the bar scene, let alone the fact he's able to waltz up to the hand of the Queen in Winterfell with a crossbow out in the open.

I like her better when shes more serious, but yeah her acting has been good, people still try and hate on it tho.

They are butchering pretty much every character.
I think they failed making her "crazy" and dis-likable. I never really liked her character but with how much she's been through, i can totally see why she'd go mad.
Honestly this is the first season i like her character, which was the opposite goal of the Dumb & Dumber writers for the viewers.

Dany has Tyrion arrested for helping Jaime.

Jon pledges himslef to Dany then stabs her.

Council is formed that pics Bran as King with council of Tyrion, Davos, Sam and Bronn.

Jon goes back to the Black Watch hopefully to be with his pupper Ghost.

It's simple. you do it off-screen. It's a tried and tested recipe for success with the show these past seasons.

I really hope it does well and i enjoyed the whole series, a lot of it was questionable especially the later seasons but it provided me entertainment which it was there for.


edit: Wish people ITT would stop comparing everything to the book lol the title of the thread is HBO's Game of thrones not GRRM Game of thrones books. They're two different things and should be treated as such. Maybe some of you would enjoy it more if you didn't compare absolutely everything to the book.

I didn’t see the interview but from what I saw it seems like they have less faith in the bar people rather than themselves. Like any of us who have worked in film production we know the reality of endings.

I think people are more projecting their interpretations on the attitudes of the creators and actors.

Even the Dany thing, it seemed like she was just dodging potential spoilers.

Anytime you ask an actor a question like that the first thing in their mind is to not give away something they shouldn’t.

I saw Clarke’s reaction as more along the lines of not spoiling anything as opposed to throwing shade at the ending which is out of her character to do.

Besides that I agree with the last paragraph shots fired at Ohio lol
