Its not well I think you committed a crime and have no proof you did, but for the good of 'the country' youre going to jail anyway. Or AKA in this situation, I dont have proof you dont 'belong here' so im going to harrass you (this ****head cop, and the citizen in video).
Also you dont lose youre rights in jail moron. Not all of them at least, thats not the point of jail/prison. Also citizens dont get 'banished' or extradited out, dont know what ultra authoritarian fantasy you live in.
Sounds like you would be right at home in any socialist country comrade.
P.S. No one is saying there shouldn't be any cops. So calm down with your bull****. More untrained, and poorly educated cops and the further militarization of cops, along with the erosion of our civil rights = authoritarian police state.

This is the standard argument the Nazis used. "If you're innocent, you have nothing to worry about!" HAH! Tell that to all the murdered innocent people who had opposing views. You're entire argument is an insult to everything America stands for.

yes. I was pulled over a couple months ago, and the cop was obviously in a rage (imo an un-natty rage).
Once I read the body language of the officer, I made sure to provide short concise answers EVEN when he was asking me dumb angry questions like "have you been drinking!, where you going!?". Officer was visibly shaking from being so angry about something.
My wife and son were in the car too, and this was the first time ever being pulled over that I was afraid of what could happen. Wife thought it was so odd that if I was by myself, I would've been asked to step out of the vehicle.
at the end of it all, I received a ticket for not using a turn signal. Inside, I was upset but kept my mouth shut. When the officer went to his vehicle to do something, I told my wife and son to keep calm and do not say anything and that if I disagree with the ticket I handle it at court.
Officer continued mouthing off the whole time and last thing he said was "I could write you citations for more than 5 things, but you're lucky it's only 1. You must not like saving money."
I didn't respond, he was done, and we luckily parted without any further altercation.

Good men died in Normandy so that this cancer wouldn't spread to the rest of the world. Here we are almost 80 years later, and we still haven't learned. Some people don't have a place of residence. What then? Illegal to be homeless? What is the link between that and crime? Most criminals are not homeless.
Illegal immigrants are a separate issue. I still would rather not have it where every nonwhite citizen is routinely questioned to prove his right to be here under suspicion of being illegal.
Forgive me for not having faith in police training, and instead choosing to err on the side of liberty as the authors of our constitution intended. Police who abuse their authority and openly threaten the liberty of law abiding citizens are not welcome to walk the streets of our society.

Its only until the minority and hate groups started proliferating that our peaceful system has been stretched to its limits and the ghettoes places have been given up on like slums in the major cities that are so trash and ghetto that its hard to enforce or might as well just put every single person in that hole into a prison.
but in theory the system is based on the good will of police to judge to a degree what is right and wrong, and the bad apples to be weeded out by police chiefs who see that these people aren't doing the job in the right spirit and with the right positive attitude of wanting to help and keep the peace.
So on a technical level we should empower police, and just only have the good police keep their jobs and the shady ones be replaced with young ideal people.
but if the world becomes too corrupt the systems gets put under undue pressure.
Like for example if theres not enough good will in society to keep the balance.
no matter how you look at it, the bad people and the ghetto people are the problem and the burden on the system.

Coming from a family of law enforcement/military I usually always side with cops, but this cop in this video is a fcking dckhead.
I hope his reputation as a cop and as a citizen is stained forever although I doubt it, I'm sure he'll get another law enforcement job as a sheriff in some small town or some chit

A system based on the good will of police is doomed to fail. There must be checks and balances against authority. Personal liberties must only be overridden when there is threat of a serious crime. You are acting like it was better in the past. You must be unfamiliar with the NYPD and LAPD's long history of corruption and brutality. IDK how a person can be so ignorant of American history.

If you think the officer was wrong report them to the proper authorities.

Its not really your choice, the masses have decided for you. Like anything else, when people disagree, it comes down to a mass consensus.
And for the time being the mass concensus is we want to encourage peaceful citizens to thrive, and violent criminals to fail and end up in prison.
You want to be a bad apple, be my guest, see how far that gets you, see how successful you are in life and for how long.
You dont have to trust cops, but you do have to obey them as people (yes citizens, but often better than average ones morality wise, men with families and honor) who have control over you if they are suspicious youre breaking the law you have no choice but to submit to their authority.
Otherwise nothing would stop anyone logistically from creating anarchy.
If you dont agree with this communal choice for peace by the masses, and dont submit to authority, youre not really welcome to be a free citizen, if you are cool with criminals and side with them, youre merely a burden on society and a rotten apple.

“The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ... What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.”

The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.”
― Thomas Jefferson, Letters of Thomas Jefferson
Do you believe that A can have authority over B, B can have authority over C, and C can also have authority over A? Or do you believe authority is a linear chain?

Police started out as gangs in England who lords hire to kill other gangs.
than the police was invented as a permanent official paid by the governance gang of people who, the only difference in the aggression is they worked for the lords not their own gain.
But they are/were still brutal violent people who work for the "right side"
Try to get fight them see what happens lol
and yeah, A - B - C - A
We the people control the gang.
And when we make laws it is the script and protocol they follow. so when we say do this or that as a decided procedure its actually all of us saying to do that.
That black guy was yelling at millions of people in society telling him to sit down and submit.
The police is literally the arm of our will and a weapon of peace that we as a community control.
So when an angry black man is refusing to submit to cops he is refusing to submit to all of society itself, and thats why the punishment is being an outcast in a jail cell
Or exported to New Zealand if they were born there or Mexico if they were born there, whatever

Cops have no more or less rights than anyone else walking the street.
They only have authority if you actually do something illegal.
They also don't have immunity anymore so you can sue them personally along with the city and take everything they have.

Your hypothesis that the authority is not transitive isn't really consistent with the notion of police ranks though. The commissioner doesn't report to someone of lower rank. It eventually goes up the chain to the President, and then the buck stops there. This is why authority must be checked. Even presidential authority is checked against a decentralized group of authoritarians. The goal is to remove the potential for any one tyrant to fuk everything up. Rather than have faith in governmental structure, training, and the good will of police officers, etc, I find it more prudent, as Jefferson would, to have faith in guns and other weapons which can and should be used against tyrants. I think as long as the people have the power to theoretically kill aggressive police if needed, our society is insulated from open tyranny. Once they take the guns away, it will be the first step toward unchecked authority by the police. No it is in fact logistically enforced by people.

I am in favor of always erring on the side of caution regarding leeway for the state and its police and military forces. I am in favor of individual freedom, and I believe it is better that a criminal walk free than innocent people suffer oppression. I believe it is generally better to trade security for freedom. And you will find most of the founding fathers of this country thought similarly.

Officers are often taken aback on how neutral and friendly I am even if I got a ticket in my loud BMW many times I was always chill with them.
This is also in what used to be a police state in AZ and I never once thought about not complying..

Not even sure what he quit his post for, probably for safety of the liberal media cancer. should be laws against media spreading anti-cop propaganda by angry minority anarchists systematically trying to make police jobs harder or scary to do.
Should be an anti-anti-cop law against propaganda and instead provide police compliance training in public schools and in ghetto communities.
