I have several friends that are officers. I asked one (one recently killed a black guy that shot at police 6 times before they could fire back...the cops won lol) how often when you pull over a black, Latino, etc. do they accuse you of doing some because of their race? “every single time”...lol

Yeah I know complaints regarding procedure probably fall on deaf ears too. But in THAT moment, do the smart thing and don't risk your life for the sake of "ah maaannnnn.... what I do tho?"

That Mesa situation is an example of the only time I'd lay spread eagle and say "fuk that, you come over here and cuff me" because the Simon Says bullchit with AR-15's doesn't help. But refusing to simply shut off your car is stupid, simple as.

It's the cancerous victim mentality. I was raised by a family of law enforcement so I know how to act right.

I've even suspected a cop pulled me over because of my race ( it's actually REQUIRED when looking for suspects), but never said a word and was committed to proving I haven't done anything. Makes everyone's life easier.

OFC it happens. It's an easy cover for criminals. That doesn't mean that there are no racist cops though.

My point is you can't win. If you don't comply, they arrest you for failing to obey the order. If you do, they kill you. You lose.

Honestly in situations like this, if someone shoots back at the cop, I can understand it. Imagine you know some dude is going to straight up bait you into being murdered. Fuk that. It's like the video the other day of the student picking up trash being threatened and held at gunpoint by a cop. If there were any justice in the world, these actions would be seen as attempted murder.

Tackle the root of the problem, not the surface.

The root of the issue is that blacks participate in about 50% of violent crimes in America. That's 14% of the population creating half the amount of violent crime. I have no problem with cops being vary and edgy when it comes to pulling over a black individual. We are humans. We find patterns and put people in categories in order to survive.

These cops are patrolling hoodlum areas always on the watch out with their lives on the line. If you walked in Chicago or Detroit and you see a black dude whats your 1st thought process going to be? I think people are being dishonest if they say anything other than '' thug.'' Dont blame the cop for being edgy.

You havent been in their shoes to see how they've been treated or why they do what they do. You only see 1 clip and make a conclusion from it.

I find this comment to be bizarre. There are racists in every category. I dont think anyone is saying every cop is a clean sheet mother Teresa. The issue is when you have a current trend where EVERY cop is seen as racist; giving criminals the pass and ability to pull the victim card.

I don't believe that. If you act properly you leave with your ticket/warning and you move on. My dozen or so encounters with police have all gone that way.

You're talking about psychopathic extreme 0.001% cases, because the times when the suspect fights back or fails to comply don't count....that's not acting properly.

lol there it is

50% of the convictions for violent crimes...I'll let you think about why that might be relevant to state accurately. Also, most thugs still don't deserve to be shot. Unless you're one of those people who supports a reactionary police state...

It is known that this isn’t the entire video and that there is an AR15 on the back seat. The officer and the man both acknowledged this to be true and that the officer did see the AR15.

With that said, the officer was not in immediate danger and reacting like that still puts the mans life at risk with other trigger happy cops around. But as usual, people react to the bits they see without knowing/viewing the entire situation from 100% start to finish, usually with many unknown extra variables.

But as i stated there is an AR15 on the seat behind the driver. I don’t have to much of an opinion on the matter Besides making the facts known and saying I can see both sides

Make of that which you will

Right, but the way the officer said that definitely put this kid's life at risk. He was lucky he wasn't killed.

Psychopaths make up 1-2% of the population and are more likely to be found in police jobs than normal. Not so extreme. It can happen to you or anyone. Civil rights fuking matter. Liberty matters. Balance of power matters.

Who said they deserve to be shot? did the dude in this particular case get shot? You are assuming that he would have because of the current trend of 'CoPs RaCist''

The point is, the reaction of the opper cant be boiled down to racism. There are REASONS for reaction albeit it may extreme. You are making it out as though white coppers cant stand the skin color of blacks so go in to a rage when they come across one. Thats not true.

But you guys want me or other minorities to start fearing for their lives everytime they see sirens. Like I said it's such an extreme case I don't think about it. I have a better chance of being killed in a vehicle collision.

These do not exist. As we saw from the case before with the guy who got killed, the law protects these police in these situations.

I'd imagine most cops are neutral. Not good and not bad. The vast majority just want to get the job done, but could end up pushed into doing something bad or letting power get to them. Some are psychopaths. They bring crime, they're rapists...And some, I assume, are good people.

What I am suggesting is laws holding contradictory orders as actions taken to attempt murder. A lawful order should be taken very seriously by both the cop and the suspect. It should never be contradictory.

You know most humans in general are not "good" right? They are neutral. Many people cheat on their SO, lie, steal, cheat at school, etc. Most will not rape or kill, but will they abuse their power a bit? Sure.

If you think most cops are good, you must be retarded. Most x of any grouping of people by profession generally won't be good. Good people are too rare for that to happen. Most will be neutral -- basically somewhat selfish but not sadistic.

BTW these rules don't exist for the sake of most cops. I'm talking about the bad apples. Those are the people society needs protection from.

It sucks but thats the reality. We are humans and we categorise. We discriminate. Thats innate. If a man with a beard is stopped in the airport and given a through check, then im good with that. We arent going to let people slide purely because ''feels.'' A certain category of people are comitting a crime more than others so in order to stay safe you must scrutinise them more than the others because the chances are higher that the criminal will be in that category.

I guess theres ''indian privelege'' as well given they hardly get bothered?

Sure. Better training as well.

Just don't misplace your anger in these scenarios where the suspect is clearly fuking up the most basic of commands.

It's simple really...just don't make the same presumptions that you're accusing the cop of making.

Now type a novel that I won’t reply to.
I'm not even American or ever had any bad experiences with any cops, where the fuk was I a crybaby blaming anyone? How is that even relevant to what we're talking about? Is it too far fetched to assume a job in the police force attracts more fuked up individuals looking for power? I'm not saying I have the answer to how many cops are bad but lmao at you typing chit like it's a fact when you don't know jackchit.
I'm seriously trying to figure out how the bolded part is relevant to the topic.

and don't reply, don't really care, as long as I let you know that you're an idiot it's cool

The Indian privilege for Sikhs is to be murdered by idiot hicks from the 1488 kkkrew who confuse them with muslims.

P of A given B is not P of B given A. Also you say commit more crimes, but you mean are convicted of more crimes. Since blacks face more aggressive policing, enforcement, and sentencing, this value is inflated against them. And again, even if more people who are convicted of violent crimes are black, this does not mean blacks are likely to be violent criminals. For the stereotyping to be valid, you'd like it to be true more often than not, at the very least. The likelihood of a black person being a criminal is still very low, and the majority are not. Let that sink in.
