Went in with low expectations. I actually liked it. Cant believe the hate it is getting. I was expecting a mess, but it had a coherent story, good action, good effects, etc. Magneto stole the show. Its a 7/10 at worst

Me and the people in my screening all groaned at the X-women line.

With the drop off between DoFP and that ****ty Apocalypse movie, I knew this one would suck too. Shame because they really wasted having an amazing Magneto actor.

I won't be shocked if super hero movies in general start making a lot less money now that The Avengers is over. Don't think people want to start fresh.

brb final fight consists of around a dozen screaming mutants throwing rebar at each other in some random junkyard

Pity, because the opening and especially Magneto's forest and foundry scenes were great.

First Class was great, DoFP ok, and now we're here. I realize that the Prof X - Magneto on-off bromance can only be rehashed so many times, but they should have realized that nobody gives a chit about Scott - the blandest most boring motherfuker in existence - and Jean, especially without any buildup. And just fuk off with JLaw's Mystique getting any focus. Rebecca Romijn's Mystique barely had any lines and was still a lot more badass and relevant.

meh, i'm like a year behind on these garbage movies anyways.
still didn't see captain marvel, endgame or shazam. somehow i lived. surprised that these movies haven't really fatigued the audience yet. or maybe they did.

I loved that movie but the language was too vulgar. I'm by no means some type of puritan but I enjoy the edited version more. Professor X just seemed like they had him use horrible language for shock value

It's the Aquaman of the Fox X-Men films. Comparatively you'd think it's amazing because so much else was complete dross...until you look at it objectively and realize Jackman carries the entire thing as he has so much else. Wack story, poorly fleshed-out supporting characters, Z-list villains, all the usual failings.

They did like 3 screenings and they all bombed.

Apparently during the more serious scenes people busted out laughing.

It started it's marketing campaign like 2 months ago which was the first time I heard about it -- as stated, X3 did it better.

Came to say this.

Seemed to me like Jennifer Lawrence muscled that line in there, cuz she has leverage as an A-list actor filling a contractual obligation for a movie way below her pay grade. There's really no other agenda to the movie besides background-radiation level Hollywood liberalism.
