60% of marriages end in a divorce, god knows how many more are in unhappy marriages. If a great relationship is a pre-req to having a baby, then a lot of really great & influential people wouldn't have been born.

Tldr; aborting is okay but it's always going to be more selfish than having the baby in my opinion, babies cause havoc on relationships/finances/your life, it's a big undertaking

He seems like he doesn't even have the option to date a single mother TBH much less be that picky.




However some of his points are valid. Guy I know married a chick with a son (Which is likely a lot cheaper then a daughter) Fast forward to the kid is in his 20s. Guy I know has paid for the kids sports/hobbies throughout his teens. Bought him a car. Pays for his cell phone, car insurance, gas money, health insurance, and college. + The wife gives him spending money for food and stuff.

And now there is a major contention between the two and anytime the guy and his wife argues about anything the kid tries to be billy badass and start **** with the guy. He literally invested 15 years into raising/caring for the boy and gets 0 respect or appreciation now + anytime he and his wife has a disagreement its his wife and her son against him.





I know in some cases the step-parent ends up raising the kid like their own and they have a genuine bond/relationship as though its their own blood. But its such a freaking gamble + a huge investment of time, money and emotion.
