What glaring holes in the concept have you pointed out? Where did I say you dont understand it because you "dont invest"? I didn't say that at all.

Didn't say a word about you not agreeing with the future outlook.

In fact its like you didn't even read what I posted and Ignored the example I gave and the reasoning behind it.

Why am I not surprised a person who welch's out on a bet/deal would ignore this as well.

SAD.

On a side note, if you posted a video of you doing 235x2 on strict form overhead press, I'll send you $200 of btc.

Just a bunch of edgelords with a penchant for memes thinking they're being forward thinking for putting their USD into bits of code that 99% have no real world purpose for except buying chit on silk road under the guise that the fed can't trace it back to them. Just lol

Of course the super rich love crypto because it makes it way easier to hide their wealth from the tax man. Chit might have even been invented by the Swiss bank

Take away the FDIC and all the federal laws regarding banking and people would have floor safes full of currency. Any argument for how secure crypto "can" be is beside the point.

Its not arrogance, you really just don't understand it. The fact that you continuously compare it to centralized banking shows that. It's not based on the same concepts. Its fine if you think its a scam and doomed to total failure but a lot of people don't. Guess we'll see who's right eventually.

Dont keep your funds on a ****ty exchange? Would you give your $$$ to a shady booky? No. But you would to an established investment firm wouldn't you?

Or if you really wanted to be smart, you'd keep all your funds in your safe at home where nobody can touch it...
"You just don't understand blockchain" is my favorite response to why Bitcoin isn't anything but a speculation house of cards.

Yes crypto has a 315 BILLION $ value right now, but its all a bunch of edgelords... All of it! That's all fake monies, fake bits of code!

So you ignore everything else stated where I proved he was making claims that are completely untrue and he really had no idea what he is talking about? Makes sense. Yes he clearly 'understands' it. When hes making 100% patently false statements. Got it Dan!

honestly I would only buy bitcoin if I were doing something illegal and I wanted to launder money that's what it was being used for initially until everybody and their aunt started buying it and now think they reinvented the wheel or something.

Meh. If crypto doesn't pan out, I'm down a couple thousand dollars of expendable income. If it continues to boom, I'm rich bitch.

I already cashed close to my break even point. When it moons again, and it will, I'll cash out the rest of my initial investment and reinvest the extra when it corrects. Lol at ignoring free money

I bought 1 coin at $3,800.00... sold it at $9,236.00. Wont buy again unless it dips below $1,000.00. Good chance it will tank...to low low levels. No continuity with crypto.

Ten + years in and the only real world use scenario is to speculate on it's respective value in fiat.

Agreed. Looks like its going down to 1k any day now! ******** trying to create its own coin, and countless investment firms attempting to get into crypto. But yes, NO continuity with it at all. Any day now we'll see it die.

Where did I say ANYTHING debating the value other than it's funny how everyone is so pumped about it being awesome again?

The bottom line is that the current value is based in speculation. It's not at $13k because you can buy drugs online and use it on overstock and a few niche websites. Either the general populous eventually has to adopt it or it's going to die on the vine. Anyone who debates that is kidding themselves. I'm pointing out why I don't believe 95% of people will ever embrace it.

I've sold a small % of my btc holdings... I'm still sitting on $500k+... So i'll correct myself. I have increased my account value. I haven't pulled it all out as profit.

so I haven't sold to any "dumb asses". People buy crypto for many different reasons. Some see it as a store of value, some use it for nefarious things, some use it as an investment vehicle...

99% use it as a speculative investment that will be worth more in the future than today. I mean look at your humble brag in this thread, implying because you made money on it that it's not a scam.

i invested a few hundred bucks in bitcoin during the initial boom in 2017. I think this recent rollercoaster ride is just the beginning. HODL ON TO UR BUTTS PPL. there is good chance it'll skyrocket to 20k again, and when that happens i'll be cashing out until further notice of progress. invest a little and don't worry about it. it's the people who dump their life savings into BTC that make the rest of us look insane lol. i'm interested in the long term goal, fall or rise.

I'll agree with you to a point here.

It's not one wrong click and your money is gone. Yes if you input the wrong address and dont verify it is possible. Yet its not like one wrong letter or number and its gone... addresses don't work that way.

But yes I do agree that majority of retards are too dumb for it in its current state.

I lol at the canned bullchit pitches coinbase has for all the different chit coins now. Reminds me of web browser extensions you actually have to pay for to benefit from. Probably because crypto is like a belief system, and crypto proponents are doing the same thing to “nocoiners”. Every time crypto is increasing in value they’re lol’ing at people who don’t hold whatever coins, and nocoiners give it back when chit’s tanking. And on and on it goes

That being said, I’m sure the same thing happens with stocks etc too but maybe not to this degree

If you don't see the value of sending money to anywhere in the world without a centralized entity, you are delusional.

And this is just one use case. The ways blockchain will transform fintech in areas like prediction markets are innumerable.

If you don't see the potential here, you lack some serious imagination.
