If you don't like your life, change it. Don't like what you see in the mirror, change it. Don't like the job you have, change it. Life is a series of choices, good and bad, smart and dumb. Yes, we all had different starts in life different experiences...deal with it.

The argument here is not about changing it, and it's very ignorant to think that everything could be changed. It's also very ignorant to think that we all here because of our choices. It's very pretentious of you think that.

He abused the hell out of me as a child and damaged the living fuk out of me. Not getting beat by my father was the happiest moments I had as a child. Just lol at avoiding a negative being the happiest moments. I get if parents abuse if justified but this wasn't, he'd smack me anytime he felt off or disrespected. I legitimately never felt like I had a father to talk to. It was just his way of releasing frustration I guess. A lot of it stemmed from his extreme insecurity and anger. Fukking 5'3 manlet and damaged af is not a good combo. Once while in university I texted him starting the text with "hey" and he refused to talk to me for a week because he felt disrespected. That's how psycho he was and this was after he had decided to change.
I changed my life a great deal and it helped being an aestheticcel so I guess it helps stay afloat if women are always hitting on you everywhere you go (but now I'm balding and look a bit older and hair sucks so wth) but last summer I developed an extremely rare disorder that I've only now defeated but debilitated me. Now I no longer am able to derive pleasure or genuinely feel happy or many normal emotions humans feel in response to things. The only one remaining is the ability to laugh if I find something funny in the moment.
No child deserves the childhood I deserved and despite everything I've done to change myself it seems life decided to throw me another curveball last year as a big fuk you. When you cannot feel the emotina normal people feel what's the reason of life?

You do have a choice. Everything reduces to choice. You have a choice in how you respond to everything that happens to you.

Short answer, no.
I've suffered so much more pain in my life than the few joys can make up for. In fact the joys are so overridden by the pain that it's not worth it and everything ends in pain. Really pisses me off hearing about good people with great things going for them dying in accidents, being murdered, dying of cancer when I'm just wishing I could take their place. I don't feel jealousy or have any hatred for those who have it better than me, I just wish it could be the same for me. My thoughts now are that if I were to die, hopefully it's in a way that my organs could go to save some good people out there.

A mindset is often a result of previous experiences. This is probably the biggest mistake made in science " correlation is not causation". Just because successful people have a positive mindset, it doesn't mean that the mindset is the cause. Another fallacy is thinking that success is the result of confidence.
People with positive outlooks usually have had a lot of previous positive experience. There's no meaning in this life.
Also, optimism is a coping mechanism humans develop to deal with hardships.
The argument here is not your reaction to life but life itself.
It's not wrong to cope. It's just wrong to lie. maybe you just don't know that you're coping.

I was going to make a thread about this earlier today actually SRS after I read this:https://www.chabad.org/parshah/artic...-to-Be-Not.htm
In Judaism it’s a mitzvah to procreate, but at the same time after many debates by religious leaders, they came to the conclusion that it’s better to NOT be born
Frankly that’s why I’m starting to think more about why people would want children. You’re basically happy for only the first few years of your life and then spend the rest working and depressed or at least not truly happy - responsibilities, uneasiness, etc.
Idk what I’d choose but it’s interesting.

I firmly believe that the choice to be born was made available to us prior to this life and we are here as the result of us choosing to be born. The decision was intelligently made, don't go back on it now.
It is not so much the major events as the small day-to-day decisions that map the course of our living. . . Our lives are, in reality, the sum total of our seemingly unimportant decisions and of our capacity to live by those decisions. ― Gordon B. Hinckley

My life is absolutely goat. I really hit the jackpot. My kids would also hit the jackpot when they come into this world.
But would I want to be born again? Absolutely not. Statistics would be that id be born ugly as FK and poor as FK.

Cope. I used to be saddened by the trajectory of contemporary society. I also used to be saddened by the fact that i wasnt a 6'5 8" penor giga chad ceo10kaday with ideal craniofacial development.
Yet, both the former and the latter can be improved by deriving value from ones extrinsic value (the parrotted staples of extrinsic value being education, job, social interaction and hobbies beyond ****posting).
However, Inevitably ones political and societal understanding needs to extend beyond avoidance and or sullen acceptance. I sought to progress beyond mulling over any purported societal disintegration and instead seek hilarity. There is no finer comedy than politics.
Every week i scan over mainstream media; ranging from the left to the right. Dont discriminate! The ingredients of political humor need the entire breadth of politics; scan the guardian cnn nyt fox news the federalist; all those big boys. Then i sprinkle my morning knowledge with some epoch times and russia today. i add a dollop of haughty normie reddit and ******** communism followed by some sanctamonious 4chan and miscer conservatism.
By then i am doused with enough truths and untruth of the variable lies, baseless accusations, scams, fraud and deceit by various international contingents that i am in hysterics. I dont laugh at the suffering of general populace but the manner of political presentation by the left and the right; both sides using similar tactics to try and win the political tug of war until they are but a reflection of their 'enemy'. Phucking lmao at life. Why watch comedians when you have politics?
