Homeboy's whole demeanor VERY clearly changed the second the officer mentioned searching the vehicle, and if it's that obvious to us on camera then you can bet a 14 year veteran of the force that isn't completely braindead picked up on it immediately too. Because of that he had justification to believe there was more at stake than just some weed. (And he was proven correct) Especially since he told the guy he didn't give a sh*t about a personal use stash.

Even at that point dude still could have gotten away with probably a nickel or so for the weapons charge if he had just complied with the officer, not like a few years in jail is anything new to him. Now he is looking at decades because he decided to act a fool.

The guy obviously didnt want to get arrested so just let him go.

over some weed its not that big of a deal to smoke.

If a guy doesnt want to comply with being arrested its best to just not arrest him.

Don't have any issues with your points here except you make it sound like the guy would not have been impaired by smoking weed.

Smoking weed does impair a person's ability to drive mainly when it comes to depth perception. Can catch a dui charge just as fast as you can with alcohol or other drugs. Not saying that just because you smoked you are automatically impaired but it definitely can make you less safe to drive

There was a case a few years ago where a university of Cincinnati officer shot a guy who tried to drive away and killed him. The officer was convicted of murder I believe

i usually dont side with cops but this cop had every right to protect himself and shoot this guy. This guy obviously was not carrying a little weed in the car. He either had a lot of weed (pounds) or had unregistered weapons. If he had a bag of weed, he wouldnt take off with the cop holding on because thats way worse than a bag of weed as far as jail time.

Here's a tip for you bro, being "a little bit silly" can end each of our lives in a split second. Drive a bit too fast on icy road, swerve off a cliff and die. Don't look when crossing the street, get run over and die. **** you could be doing everything right and a drunk driver or someone in a police chase could hit you and kill you instantly.

Can't even describe it. Those guys walked walked up to the vehicle said it all. The only good thing is I doubt she even felt it or knew what hit her. RIP. People defend the perps until it's someone they love that is in that car that gets hit or the crime is committed against them or someone close to them.

Bish I used to work with, was one of those "snitches get stitches, don't talk to the cops" types, always defended criminals as good people who just made a mistake and got caught. Her mother was found stabbed to death and a witness who saw the guy who did it running from her house after it happened called the cops and ID'd the guy. She posted how greatful she was that this person spoke up. About ten lines down "so we aint doing no snitching anymore" and called her ass out. Her response is how "this is different" and "how could you say something like this". Some WK's came to back her up as usual. I don't think she ever related the person being witness for her mother being a snitch in her book. So, if someone has that attitude, you know they probably have a lot of perps on their team, because they sympathize.

Officer didnt know about the gun or the felonies, he acted just because of the smell of some weed, was hoping officer got run over by a tire just to remind him not to risk his life over petty chit. Either way criminal got caught hours later without anyone getting shot and hanging on side of cars.
