Why mindset doesn't matter as much as you think.

I'll give you an example that shows that mindset matters. I was never very good at math, it was my weakness throughout my academic life. However, it was necessary given the nature of my field. I could never become a theoretical physicist or engineer, but through countless hours of reading and listening to lectures on my own time, I got to the point where I achieved enough mastery over the subject that I've now published peer-reviewed articles that utilize econometric modelling and equations. Had I simply said it's all genetics, it never would have happened. No doubt my ability to devote that time to learning the material is partially based on a privilege that I had no control over, but the point is within certain bounds change and improvement is possible. and those changes can have large outcomes.

What I would be against, is you living in delusion and thinking you could be some math god despite it obviously not being something you have the aptitude for.

Nobody remembers those that failed in spite of their drive and mindset. A lot of people have great mindset, but that doesn't make them successful. As a result, one can safely conclude that mindset doesn't necessarily cause success. It's 2019, and people still don't understand causation and correlation.
Anyways, as for athletes, I don't even think this needs to be argued. Anyone with a brain knows that top athletes are all trained with the latest approaches and are following the latest findings of nutritions science. Nobody qualifies for the Olympics without having a winning mindset, but that doesn't make them the number one or let alone a top three athlete. Sports are actually the biggest display of the power of genetics predispositions in determining outcomes of competitions.

I'll start playing the lottery everyday, and I hope that my positive mindset will help me win. I see a lot of people on TV winning the lotto, so that means I can do it too if I just have a mindset that's strong enough.

A realist isn’t someone that never sees things positively or with some optimism or hope. I’m a realist, I just know where it applies and where it doesn’t. I also know how important your mindset is on a daily basis.

Well we're gonna find out if mindset matters. The Discovery Channel is doing a reality show where they're going to take a billionaire and put him in a random city with a new name and identity, and give him $100 and he has to turn that into a million dollar business within 90 days. And he can't use any of his wealth or contacts so he's starting from the bottom. If he's successful I'm going to be really impressed and inspired.

You & only you are responsible for your meh life. Your mediocrity has forced you to protect your ego by rationalizing your lack of success via pessimism disguised as a clear reflection of reality. Where you are is not the result of bad luck - it is the result of millions of choices you have made during your entire life.
You can have a girl, flourish at work, at home, and contribute to your community. The reality is that the correct positive mindset with a focus on success and accomplishment will drastically improve every facet of your life by forcing you to begin making better choices that will get you where you want to go. The culmination of those choices may not lead you where you initially think they will; in fact you may be given opportunities you can’t currently envision and force you to reassess your direction.
Or you can have the same chitty attitude and will be in the same position a decade from today.

I've never heard anybody said "mindset" alone matters in our lives here in BB.com. Yet there still always someone who brings up the subject in the most negative way. Shame on you who do that and should have known that there are many friends here still fighting against all the odds in their life with their positive mindset alone.
When luck, fate, heritage and whatever we don't have are all against our life and the happiness of people we love, our mindset, determination, and willpower are the only things we have left to depend on.
It's your prerogative to deny the power of your own mindset but nobody has any right to slight that of others.
The reason BB.com is here is supposed to support not to discourage each other.
Our true strength lies in our mindset that never allows us to give up no matter what.
If you stop believing that then you are already dead.

I've smashed 30+ women from day time cold approach, all were a 7/10 minimum. I could've banged more, but I realised years ago that I'm an introvert who prefers having 1 high quality woman as opposed to multiple average ones. My last gf of almost 2 years was a 9/10 to most people, and I met her outside a supermarket.
I'm a 6/10 at best looks wise.
The reason it's worked for me is that I have a sales mindset, and pride myself on work ethic. I analyse the fuk out of the chit that I do, whether personal or professional, and try to figure things out, become better and more efficient, and eventually realise some level of success.

It is a fact that the vast majority of businesses fail. FACT. So, I would advise that anyone starting a business should understand and acknowledge that reality. Odds are against them. Does that mean they shouldnt go for it? No. But they should also live in reality when they do and understand its going to be hard as fuk even if they do everything they can. why? Because thats the reality of the situation.

Dudes like you are men-children. You get smacked in the face after a few tries, and you want to throw your toys out of the pram. You live in the first world, with unlimited resources at your fingertips, and yet you can't figure this chit out.
Mate no one gives a fuk about you and your ineptitude. Stop crying and fist yourself.

Come tell me how the world works when you can accomplish your most basic fundamental biological imperative - and then do something to attain ANY measurable level of success. Until then, your worldview is literally worthless.
