This. It's not like bison just sneak up on you. They're freakin gigantic.

Little girl has chit parents and they're completely responsible for this happening.

And it was also 100% avoidable. If they were 10 feet from a bear, would it be shocking if they got attacked? Not sure why a bison is any different.

If you are too stupid to realize that a 2000 lbs scary looking wild cow might somehow cause injury then you get what you get.

I hope the kid is ok but she he parents are to blame.

These kind of threads always get heaps of holier-than-thou comments, I swear.

It's a national park and they were meters away from it. Who expects a clalmly grazing buffalo to just suddenly charge you if you've never dealt with one before.

Lol at the people here blaming anyone.

Bison are gentle AF. You city folk are terrified of everything. It's like the black bear thing. "Omgz bear in the neighborhood!!!" Black bears are giant cocker spaniels and city people think they are the same as grizzly bears.

lol if you have never dealt with a buffalo before then why are you letting your kids a couple meters from it? Only an idiot would put their kids that close to any wild animal that size. idc how “friendly” the animal is, any animal can get spooked and try to defend itself or run away amd accidentally hurt

You'd have to be pretty dumb to not think a wild animal like that could potentially cause some sort of harm. I once tried to walk near one probably 10+ years ago passing through Yellowstone because I was an idiot but I sure as hell knew it could fk me up.

I have a lot of experience messing with buffs over the years. They are not smart, very aggressive and RIDICULOUS athletic for as big as they are. I only mess with them if I absolutely have to.

yeet!

why in the world you would go so close to a wild animal of that size

when we're out in the field with rifles and all we still get nowhere close to the moose if we see one

harambe clearly still got shooters out there

Goes to park. Crowd around the very first wild animal you see so you can post it all over your social media.

How was I supposed to know a wild animal wouldn't be aggressive?
