No, and thats why I'm skeptical. Like I posted earlier there was a dateline on a similar case and the father was convicted of murder. You just don't forget your babies in the car for 8+ hours.

I keep hearing this "leave something important like wallet/phone in the backseat so you don't forget your kids".

Meanwhile, I'm like "OK, how the **** are those things more important than the kids?".

It sounds like I'm being judgmental, and perhaps I am. But that's why it's important to live mindfully and with purpose. It makes life more tolerable and you forget fewer things.

Really sad, ive got a kid on the way and already in paranoid parent mode. Sleep deprivation with two babies I can imagine is a bitch, very seriously doubt this guy did that on purpose and now has to live with that. Real ****ed up.

Plus, how did the parents not get a call when the kid didn't show up to daycare? That could be a safeguard. Kid doesn't show up and parents haven't called/emailed to say they won't be there should be a red alert.

It's not that the phone/purse etc is more important than your kid. It's that you have them on you at all times when you get out of your car so it's routine to grab them. If you're not the one who normally takes the kid to daycare in the morning, it's not routine to have them in the car when you leave for work.

I wasn't arguing that it was done "purposefully". What I am arguing is that it doesn't really matter what their motives were or if it was legitimately a massive brain fart. Either way, the outcome is obscene and they had no business being parents in the first place.

I mean, I just don't get how people do this "by accident" without being hammered drunk/higher than a kite at a minimum regardless of "routines" being disrupted. You strap the kid into their car seat when you leave... do you literally never look back to check on them the entire drive, or what? I glance at my kid through the rear view mirror several times during any trip. I seriously don't get how people forget toddlers due to how noisy they usually are, it's hard not to notice them in the car. As for small infants, I was always worried about making sure mine was breathing properly in the car seat when she was especially tiny and fragile, so I don't get how people forget in those cases either. They must be legitimately retarded or something.

Then the real kicker for me is how they manage to forget them for hours upon hours at a time. So this guy in the OP story claims he strapped not one, but two small children into car seats, drove them to his job's parking lot, forgot them in the car, went into work, spent like 8.5 hours there, and never thought about his kids again until finding them dead in his car when he was leaving for the day? Sounds pretty retarded to me. You'd think it would have crossed his mind at least by the mid-point of his shift or something

You claim you're not making excuses, but that's exactly what you're doing. The daycare should have known better and called them in time to save the kid even though they weren't watching the kid at the time it happened, the car manufacturers need to make better safety reminder features so dumbasss parents don't forget their kids in their cars, it was a simple break in routine so we should feel sorry for the father who let it happen, etc.

No other way to frame it, that's bs excuse making. If you don't automatically view your kid and other living beings like animals in your car as too important to forget under any circumstances, then you probably shouldn't have kids, have pets, or even drive for that matter. Why? Because it indicates that you'd be too retarded to handle those things in general.

I live about a mile from where this happened and i park my car outside, the heat that my car catches after a couple hours in the sun I can’t even imagine what those 2 kids were experiencing. I start sweating 2 minutes inside, they must’ve boiled. Horrible.

Car makers could easily prevent these and drunk driving deaths with basic technology.

Knife makers should be held responsible for deaths caused by their products unless they have informative warnings in at least 10 places of the packaging as well as on each side of the blade and knife handle itself! Those irresponsible assshole knife makers must be forced to do this or be held accountable for the countless accidents and murders that happen thanks to their products!!!!!

Bull****. Why does this one type of child neglect that results in the death if the kid(s) get so much sympathy from people over other reasons?

What if a parent left their gun on a family room table unattended alone with a kid for 1 minute and the kid blows their own brains out or shoots another kid?

How about if a parent accidentally leaves a baby gate open for a few minutes and the kid leaves the safe area and tumbles down their stairs to their death/serious injury?


Both of thise mistakes require no more of a brain fart to happen than leaving them in a hot car. And how do these asss clowns forget their kid in the car for hours on end? Fuk off with your excuse making bullshiit.
