Is the 4th vid the db flies video? Cuz it looks more like an alternate bench press form imo.
I always seen flyes as a stretching movement with the elbows going all the way down, bringing the dumbbells up in a wide arc like you're hugging a tree.
But i'm sure everyone has their own methods of training so no hate or anything. Mirin strength.

85+ are easy, the hardest part about the lift is getting them to your bench and lifting them up to bench them.

This. Deffo many dudes can. I can decline with 88s (and I'm not hugely big), so I'm sure many brahs can easily.

There are dozens of people triggered by the fact that you rep that weight but don't drop it on the floor on the descent to 'save your shoulders' lol. Very nice.

This.

Your average gym you'll usually see up to 120 pounds as I think that's like the normal set the gym buys. You may see very few people attempting them. I hit the 100's and I am working up to 120's but it's taking time. My friend who's a serious powerlifter can do 120's with relative ease now and he moved to another gym. This gym is like the elite lifters club, where the people who are alpha's in your regular gym become pussies at this one. I went with him one day and everyone walking around is throwing weight like it's nothing. The dumbbells there went up to at least 200+ with a maybe one set of massive 250 lb dumbbells. Guys there can rep out 120's like it's a fukkin warm-up set.

I don’t care how heavy they are, control them. And it doesn’t save your shoulders to drop them...do people actually say that?

Yes. There were people defending it especially on flat db bench if you 'went heavy'. I have seen guys at gyms before kicking dumbbells on the floor slowly towards their flat bench, then sitting - lifting onto knees, flying back and barely managing 2 reps and dropping them there.

People on this forum have insisted that if you don't drop them you'll 'tear your shoulders'. Just...yeah...

I have dropped them on heavier sets, but I definitely never plan on it. Sometimes you go to failure and chit happens. But I also make sure nobody else is near me if I think there is a chance that will happen on a set.

I've always controlled them through the whole process. I know some drop them at failure but it's often just unnecessary. If you think a movement or weight is going to damage your shoulders then it's too heavy or you shouldn't be doing it at all.

A guy at the Gold's I used to go to did that stupid sh!t and threw the weights (100's) and one bounced several feet away and broke a girl's foot. He was kicked out of the gym and had to pay for her medical.

I threw up 120s x 8 for DB shoulder press and got some stares. I usually bang out reps on incline DB with 140s and 150s to (srs). There’s only one other guy in my gym doing that kind of weight and he’s obviosuly on gear while I’m not
