You got lucky af. The same type of thing happened in my town outside a bar, this guy was beating the crap out of his girlfriend and a guy tried to intervene and he got shot and died.

Oh yeah - Never doing it again. Woman ended up turning around and started beating me when i was on top of her husband on the ground.
So i'm like FUK this.

Get up, go to walk away. He says "When we get home, you're getting it even worse" - From that night on i'll never defend a woman/man conflict.

Yeah man, I'm glad nothing happened. I fully realized he might have a weapon or some cartel friends. However, I couldn't live with myself if I just sat there and watched this dude kill his wife.

My buddy who is 6'3" 225 was with me, so it was good knowing he had my back. I had never wished I had a gun so bad in my entire life.

Lol jesus. I would have left at that point too. Like I said, I just couldn't live with myself if this dude killed her right in front of me and I did nothing.

This dude's wife was super grateful and we took her and her kids to a domestic violence shelter. It was weird cuz the dude was a mexican citizen and she was from texas. The embassy flew her back to texas the next morning.

Actual Pic of guy who headbutted me when i was buying a pizza.

He was Australian & was looking for a fight the whole night apparently.
Shook hands after it & then walked home together. Turns out he was visiting family & was a nice guy.

Seen him 2 months after in the gym - He asked me to come for a drink with him that night.

Australians are weird.

There's really only a handful of boxers who really know how to box. Floyd is the best example of boxing because he shows you how to use the shoulder roll for when someone hits you with a right hand. Thats about all you can take away from boxing.

Really the best thing you can do for yourself is cardio and strength training or up the amount of weight your circle can push when you go out. But there's plenty of things you can take away from any fighting style. You just have to figure out what to take out and work in an actual fighting situation.

floyd knows how to run around the ring. in a streetfight he'd run away before you can hit him. he won't he rolling any shoulders

The point is, the right hand is what most people will throw at you because its their dominant hand. In the heat of the moment, almost all fights will start with a wild swinging right hand. And then after a few punches, everyone is basically winded.

So learn how to defend against noob right hands, work on cardio, work on upper body strength. that is the best starting points - if you want to get into a fight, being trained makes you more likely to get into a fight because you think your capable.

If you can throw a good 1-2 you can win most street fights. I was never a boxer but my dad used to and he taught me how to throw punches, combinations ect.. I'm a quick learner and beat a lot of my friends who box. I'm more athletic then most people tho, and hit harder

2 guys going mano y Mano with no interference, Iโ€™d rather be a skilled grappler, and choke him out with little damage to either party(other than his hurt pride). Getting jumped by a group of *******s who will gladly dog pile you if you get the better of the first guy, Iโ€™d like sharp striking and a sick pair of running shoes.

Nope, GunKata is.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

If you really worried about self defense carry a weapon and avoid confrontation. I usually carry a gun if I go to sketchy areas, nothing beats a weapon.

Boxing is a great and so are a lot of the other arts. I've boxed for 10 years and like it. Seen 3 guys beat the **** of bigger buys in street fights with it.

Kicking in a street fight is terrible advice (unless you happen to be above average at kicking, in terms of speed and power).

Taking a foot off a ground to kick someone in the head is really bad advice, where the average person will fall on their ass due to the ground conditions or shoes, and the person rushing forward. Best to keep both of your feet on the ground.

(Stopping someone with a kick to the thigh is something that Joe Aldo can do, but the average person can't.)

The single most effective method of self defense is to not get into a street fight in the first place. This can be done by not living in crappy areas, practicing situational awareness and prioritising your personal safety over your ego (last one is most difficult for males aged 18 to 25).

Second is probably carry a gun if that's an option and you're not a hothead retard. Guns are better at winning fights than fists and it's not close. If guns are illegal, other weapons like a extendable baton or Mace.

Third is learning how to fight and unless you have the time, money and inclination to become expert in various aspects of grappling, striking, fighting with and against various weapons, fighting multiple opponents etc. it probably doesn't matter. Pick any legit fighting method that you enjoy and do some cardio and strength training.
