On 2 separate occasions, the same dude approached and without saying a word, touched her in an unwanted way, whilst she was walking through a secluded area alone(even after the first time she told him "Stop!", and walked away), your reaction would be;"LOL, no big deal babe... I don't know why you are even thinking about!"
That wouldn't trigger any protective instinct in you? Alarm bells wouldn't start ringing in your brain?

You realllly feel like you can label this "creepy". I say i cant rely on eithers word tbh
But i think theres plenty of touching that goes on irl that doesnt result in guys getting even the threat of 10 years in jail.
In your example id prob tell my daughter to be very clear and stern and tell him if he touches her again shell go to the cops. I think that would scare him off. If he does it again, wala, he pushed it too far.
Thats such a small thing i feel like extrapolating it to some type of other behavior is extreme nonsense. I would bet a lot of money the girl who did it to me is not a convicted rapist
If he were a rapist why didnt he rape her?
He didnt even touch something like her boobs or butt so hes on the lower end of anything physical
Like i said, im not buying either side so i find anybody swaying so hard one way or the other disingenuous. Bishes make chit up for attention you know, and the guys excuse for "making friends" sounds bad too
I get what the law is, but again, plenty people touch people throughout the day without the threat of going to jail. I wish wed just give the lawmakers what they want and let nobody touch anybody ever. Giving this haphazard definition of a decision when it is and isnt ok leaves everything open to interpretation and bias

Everything I just stated to you is in the article.
The young man doesn't dispute what happened, he denies that there was an ominous motivaton behind his actions, he states that 'anxiety' caused his behaviour.

Not every girl has is as assertive or extroverted as your (real or hypothetical) daughter. Some people have shy and deeply introverted personalities.
Also, we don't know what the girl has gone through in the past.
She could have anxiety problems, not just the guy.
She could have had traumatic experiences (in any regard) in the past.
It's not on her to 'stand up for herself' every time he approaches her, it's on the kid not to walk up to women in secluded areas and touch them.

Cherry picking. Do you agree with this:
"I wish wed just give the lawmakers what they want and let nobody touch anybody ever"
When and where are the lines drawn? Do men make moves? Has everybody whos ever touched someone received explicit instructions that their touching was allowed? Do women 100% just say "touch me"
You realize giving women such weldy power to such ambiguous nuances is a A LOT of power right. Im all for the lines being drawn. Im not up for things being twisted and turned as they see fit. "Joey touched me there, it was ok", "robert touched me there and i was in a bad mood and felt like ruining his life"
Oh and i wont even go into the women that play hard to get. Cause that will get completely lost

She already said to the dude the first time "Stop!" and walked away from him. She made it clear to him that he wasn't interested. The dude came back, and did the same thing... And rightly so, she feared him coming back and doing the same thing, because he clearly disregarded her protesting his behaviour the first time.
She already spoke her mind to him,and it did nothing.

If you're arguing for absolute rules, I don't think society can function like that. Things do need to be assess on a case by case basis, laws based in generality, but the specific of a case matter. When and where are the lines drawn? Do men make moves? Has everybody whos ever touched someone received explicit instructions that their touching was allowed? Do women 100% just say "touch me"

I think it's impractical and arrogant for anyone to create a rule, that will be applied to any and every case.
Again though... She went to the police to report the guy, but CPS can prosecute without her consent. So it's not the power that she as over him, it's the state who may have been the ones who chose to press charges.
(From personal experience, I've been prosecuted for assault by CPS, when the person I assaulted no longer had a problem with me, and wasn't the one who asked to press charges.)

The majority of the misc ITT seems to think that the girl is a 'snowflake' because she got scared and went to the police, because a dude walked up to her on 2 seperate occasions whilst she was walking home in a secluded area, and touched her.

Although a caution is not a conviction, it forms a part of a person's criminal record and can be used as evidence of bad character if a person is prosecuted for another crime,[4][8] and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks (previously called Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks) for certain types of employment.[2] A caution can cause some countries not to allow a person to visit or reside in the country.[2]

Once the caution is spent, it no longer is a problem (meaning not an 'active' part of their criminal record). (Though it will show up on an Enhanced CRB, and they will question you about it... I can tell you from personal experience... However, both times it has been brought up and questioned, I ended up getting the job.)
When it's active there are options that are blocked, but that doesnt' mean that he will be unable to get a job, like you claim - that is nonsense.
What I just wrote is from personal experience... I think you're read the blurb about a caution, and have created an scenario in your head, that doesn't reflect how things work in the real world.

This shouldn’t have gone near a court. He needed a talking to, off the record. If he fuks up after that, fine. Whatever his conviction/sentence now, even if cleared on appeal, he’s a google click from infamy, for life. It’s over for him.

We've all done cringey **** that unintentionally stepped over someone's boundaries. People send anonymous flowers thinking they're being cool and not realizing they're causing the recipient to kick off thinking it's their former stalker harassing them again, etc.
We've all done clueless chitonce. Unless you're actually clinically potato, doing ittwice? There's no reason for anybody to believe you when you say you had good intentions. So maybe now global infamy will teach him not to do it a third time.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

By your assessment, most people in the world are clinically potato.

You can get public facing job even with a criminal record, it will likely stop him from going into caring professions or working with vulnerable (which is a good thing... If he didn't realize the first time that someone saying "Stop" and pulling away from him, is a sign that his behaviour is unwanted and scary, then he doesn't have the necessary social skills to work with vulnerable people).

Sucks that kid wasn't protected in any way. The Police and authorities turned a blind eye for YEARS at the Muslim run child prostitution ring in the North, as doing anything would be seen as 'racist'. However an awkward, socially unaware teenager with no apparently devious intentions is ripe for the picking.
Conclusion; we have a corrupt joke of justice system.

Unless this dude's way more of an autiste than the story is letting on - like "it's a miracle he's made it this far in school" autistic - most people would realize that if they call somebody and the recipient hangs up on them in anger, that calling them back isn't going to go well.

You can't tell me you don't realize he was certainly waiting for her, specifically. The usual term for that is "stalking".
Again, you've have to be close to "special needs" levels of disabled to not realize that you should try introducing yourself to some other girl instead of trying again with the one you already freaked out.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

But to address your now context specific question - can you please point to where the article said she ran away in fear?
First we had him grabbing her, now we have her running away in fear, and next we’re probably going to have her screaming at the top of her lungs.
My point is - everyone defending the girl is having to embellish the story in all sorts of subtle ways. That’s very telling, imo.

LOL, now a girl’s objection to being stalked and touched requires ‘defending’. Holy fuk miscs hatred of women knows no bounds.
"A stupid man's report of what a clever man says can never be accurate, because he unconsciously translates what he hears into something he can understand."

Can we get a sexual assault on this guy? I didnt see his victim articulate he wanted to be touched. Meaning it was completely unprovoked. 10 years at least
Or does it require the male in this instance to have a victim complex to turn it into something more horrible? Im just curious.. Could this guy turn this story into the fact that the dude was eyeing him previously and he used this as a chance to touch him? He even grazed his breasts. maybe 20 years actually. Since theyre real sexual organs

Pretty unlikely. Who’s going to charge a Chad?

The way this played out, his life is now in the toilet, forever. Despite what you are saying, he will find it very difficult to get any public facing job whether it’s with vulnerable people or not. Do you think he is going to interview well enough for people to overlook a police caution? Really?
