Yeah the country is fuked. Cops murdering people indiscriminately and miscers raging about racial politics and a potential civil war. They'll turn and blame the media instead of murderous police.
People keep their doors open when it's cool? Mindblown.jpg

The entire reason the police were called was because the neighbor said this is NOT usual behavior for her so the fact thatotherpeople keep their doors open when it's cool holds little relevance.

This gay earth, f-word it.
that's why the supreme court ruled that shooting officers who show up to your home unannounced, or without warrant is lawful

Death by intentional gunfire is only one parameter. What about the likelihood of being assaulted in the line of duty? Let's look back at 2015 to see those numbers:
"In 2015, of the 50,212 officers assaulted while performing their duties, 28.4 percent were injured."

Not true, and a recent study shows it. One could argue you're stupid for falling for media propaganda/bias:
-https://msutoday.msu.edu/news/2019/t...ice-shootings/
“We found that the race of the officer doesn’t matter when it comes to predicting whether black or white citizens are shot," Cesario said. "If anything, black citizens are more likely to have been shot by black officers, but this is because black officers are drawn from the same population that they police. So, the more black citizens there are in a community, the more black police officers there are.”

Scared the absolute fukk out of me to have a cop pop up in my kitchen window. I understand why they do it, but if I'd been in the backyard and couldn't hear his partner at the front door, there were a lot of places I could have been standing where I would have been out of sight. If we'd caught each other by surprise one of us probably would have needed an ambulance before we realized what was going on.

I'm supportive of law enforcement, but mediocre officers aren't going to learn to find another line of work until the consequences get real. Maybe the laws need to be revised to clarify that this type of "mistake", shooting someone in their own home without warning, can be charged as capital murder. There are a few egregious cases out there where the gas chamber wouldn't be out of line at all.
Seriously, HOW ARE COPS this f.uckin untrained???? Why are they going into situations trigger happy like a black ops seal team mission??? Get on a loud speaker, blare the sirens and call out to people inside house before going in guns blazing. Sheesh.

I deal with police officers sometimes for my job. There are both good and bad officers in every age group but there is a much larger proportion of younger cops with terrible attitudes compared to the older ones. I'm not sure why this is or if its a trend but this is just my anecdotal experience.

Yes. I can't tell if you're trying to make a point or truly unaware. That the neighbor said it wasn't is absolutely baffling, considering fall is just starting in Texas and literally everyone keeps their doors open. In the middle of the night it's a little weird, but the lights were on, and still not an excuse to creep around the property and not announce yourself. Regardless, I'd like to think if I was cop and saw a door open but the screen door closed, my first thought wouldn't be that clearly there was a threat inside the home. The whole thing is bizarre.

Of course I'm making a point. It's not a Texas thing. People everywhere keep doors open, but most people shut them at some point during the evening and don't leave them open all night. A lot of smaller older beach homes around here don't even have AC. It's doors open year round. It's not baffling that the neighbor called when this was at 2:30am and according to him, not normal behavior.

You would think they would see the situation as not being threatening but who knows what the neighborhood is like, what crime is like in the area historically and recently, etc (I didn't catch anything in the few articles I looked at) and whether or not they approached the situation with reasonable caution or were overly gung ho about it all. None of that really matters though. All we have is 30 seconds of an officer shooting a woman through a window which looks fuked so far.

I never said there was, pure strawman argument.

Only because they avoid high crimes areas. How is the crime rate in Balitmore and Chicago?

Dallas and Fort Worth are kind of twin cities. Both are separate and have surprisingly different cultures for being about 25 minutes apart from one another. They're definitely separate cities with separate police forces.

Cop arrested.

Sounds like a collosal fukup all around. Not excusing officer here, but why TF would you have a gun out in plain sight when taking care of a kid? I can see how the cop was on high alert after seeing the gun, but damn how bout announcing your presence before opening fire. Not sure what to make of this, just tragic.

How dumb do you have to be to get so paranoid until having reason to do so beyond just checking up on the place.

What are they saying on these calls like "OMG her doors open somethings wrong!!"

And then the dumbass goes in there like its a break in when theres not really a scenario even happening except in their mind.

Imagine just sitting in your home, seeing someone creeping around your yard with a flashlight and next thing you know that same person is yelling at you while simultaneously shooting you...i hate the fact that this woman died like this. For absolutely nothing. Guy should’ve been serving a long ass prison sentence like yesterday. Sickened by how uncomfortable race makes some of you.

"A black woman was executed in her own home while minding her own business by a violent and dangerous police officer."
Fixed that for you, OP.

I appreciate and respect police who conduct themselves with restraint while risking their lives to keep our communities safe, but there is no room on the force for trigger happy cowards and worse, sociopaths and bullies.

BLACK woman shot by a WHITE cop

Not "woman shot by a cop in her own home" or "innocent person shot by a cop in her own home" but BLACK woman shot by a WHITE cop

It sucks that person lost her life.

that's pretty much standard procedure here as well, but who knows wtf went down...no one wants to wait for details.
Maybe because some cops are actually racist? Ever heard the saying that Klans turned in their robes and good for a badge and uniform?

If you aren't racist this has nothing to do with you, so why get angry?
