All the bodybuilding women in this thread are saying that 5’3 130 with a muscled body. Yeah, no.

If you’re dating just a normal chick that isn’t trying to win bodybuilding competitions, she would probably look best at 100-105.

How is this not considered chit posting? On bodybuilding.com there are actually people that believe BMI is a good guide? Yeesh...and haven't you been lifting for decades or something?

I’d say for women it’s a better guide than men. With men, muscle mass comes into play a lot more. For women, unless we’re talking competition bodybuilders on the juice, bmi is probably a pretty good guide of if they’re at the right weight or not.

Even for guys, I think having a BMI that’s not in the overweight category is good if you’re not a bodybuilder and want to look good in clothes. The amount of people that are 6’0 220 in the overweight category and still look good is pretty slim.

For women if you are a natty lifter and your goal is a regular fit physique then you will be in normal BMI range.

Only way you can get to overweight BMI lifting with low bodyfat is if you have competition level bodybuilder type muscle mass.
Per my height and weight BMI calculator says mine is 25-29 and overweight. I'm lifetime natty, don't have bodybuilder levels of muscle and I'm far from fat.

Nope, not trying to win bodybuilding comps. No interest in competing and i don't look like a bodybuilder. I look fit and in shape.

I did see that post. You’re not one of the bodybuilding women I was talking about, because you mentioned that you prefer to have a fit frame rather than tons of muscle.

If this is what OP is looking for, this is what I’d guess a 5’3 105 frame looks like.

Yeah but you are not natty though, Arnold was obese also at the 1975 Mr Olympia at 6'2'' 228 lbs, ripped to shreds, with 4 % body fat

The only reason I weigh myself once a week is to make sure I keep myself in check.

There is misinformation in abundance in this thread, being spread by the self-proclaimed 'great provider of advice' - SilenceSpeaks. To be clear:

On the BMI index, at 183 cm and at around 85kg I am considered 'overweight'.

Don't move the goalposts and then say 'well if you're 30% body fat at 220 odds are you don't look good' - if you're a male with 30% body fat you don't look good, period. BMI is a very lazy way of trying to assess overall health/aesthetics and it is, in my opinion, a disservice to people.

And it'll continue - take a look at the thread. Rather than address the substance of the posts she tries to attack you. Legz has also posted re: BMI - it is a chitty metric. End of.

Lol healthy!

And act like being natty or not matters. I was considered obese by BMI when I wasn’t seeing a doctor.

Plus you retards out what comes from a doctor in the same category as what you think Larry Wheels takes.

Doesn’t discuss what you have no gauge of.

Healthy lmfao. Do you realize what the name of this FUKIN site is?

You realize you’re in a very small minority who thinks that, right? Like not on bodybuilding.com, but like 90% of guys walking around on the street would think those girls are hot.

Yeah, they’re skinny. Skinny has been thought of as ideal for girls for millennia. Let’s not act like girls being thin is some sort of weird concept
