ITT: the resident R&P dumbass right wingers failing to grasp the bigger picture
There has been a clear shift in wealth in the past 60 or so years which obviously comes with the decline in quality of life for the middle and lower class. Instead of addressing why it happened and what can be done so that there isn't a generational decline in quality of life you idiots go "just make the best of it!". Which to be far is good advice for an individual but refusing to acknowledge the macro problem that is affecting the nation as a whole is straight up cuck behavior.

Another thing is that it's really easy to say you'd give your money away when you don't actually have it. But once you DO have it, it's a different story. Bernie Sanders is one example. He used to chit on millionaires and billionaires all the time, then he became a millionaire himself and now he only chits on billionaires. And apparently he has 3 houses and doesn't give much to charity

Min wage should vary by area due the vastly different cost of living but the federal wage should be bumped up to atleast $12. $7.25 is laughable.

Allowing bankruptcy on student loans
Ending immigration and deporting illegals
I lol if people think taxation would do anything, the rich can ALREADY send the government a check, I wonder why they don't do it lol.
Even if you redistributed 100% of the wealth, in 5-10 years you'd have the same distribution, this is the Pareto principle and it's a universal law you cannot escape.

The US actually used to tax rich people properly. Then after Milton Friedman/the Reagan era they deregulated, weakened labour unions and worker protections, and drastically slashed taxation on the richest, and now we're at historic wealth inequality and a middle class that has no prospects.

good for them, they privide the wealth to everyone else. they deserve it.
the beauty of capitalism is that you too could get there if you just worked harder. thats better than never having that opportunity and then getting thrown in a gulag with the rest of your family.

And yea the CEO deserves 600x the average salary because he does 600x more for the company.
people who chit on CEOs really have absolutely no clue as to what they actually do and they themselves could never even dream to be capable of 1/10th of what the CEOs are capable of. You wouldnt even last one typical 18 hour day before you tapped out

people who advocate for universal healthcare tend not to help others in need for some strange reason. You want to redistribute wealth? well if you earn $32k, you're in the top 1% of the world, so go ahead and start sending more than 50% of your money to Africa; then they do the mental gymnastics to get out of that.

The 1% are wealthy because we gave them our money. They didn’t take from us we willingly bought their products and services, if you have a problem with their wealth stop giving them your money. Buy local and spend the little extra to support small businesses.

Reminds me of my one friend who ranted about how evil Walmart is after watching that "documentary" a decade ago. And yet he actually shopped there.
