Why did you post so many times in this thread if you "Don't give a chit what we think" ???

Funny how all the intelligent people I know on this forum are all in agreement that this situation was handled terribly wrong, yet two of you LEO's come out of the woodworks to defend murder. I don't know what else to do but laugh at your ridiculous ego's. I'd have more respect for the police if they could admit they made some bad decisions and some justice was served to prevent a mistake like this happening again. But instead you guys won't admit to anything wrong whatsoever even though everybody on here can see right through you guys.

And honestly it makes me very uncomfortable to have people like you wearing a badge. You call people "cupcake", you belittle anyone that doesn't agree with you and you clearly are emotional and butthurt which no cop should be like. Posting away like a child, not even answering questions that are serious but instead replying with another immature question..."What would you do?" You just said none of us are cops and none of us have been in life or death situations (which you don't even know is true or not) so why are you asking such "idiotic" (your words) questions?

Both of you cops in this thread have blatantly disrespected the diseased already with your unprofessional posts and like I said it makes me very uncomfortable knowing there are cops out there with your weak mindsets and such power. It would be a good idea for any LEO to not post in here unless they can maintain their cool, not put anyone down and intelligently explain why this turned out the way it did. But that hasn't happened in 10 pages so this thread should be locked imo.

usually pro cop, but this can't be justified. especially when you have a bystander shot and killed. do they know if it was the cop that shot the bystander or the perps?

I'm pretty sure there isn't confirmation who's bullet killed the two innocents. I'm sure we will know soon. That PD is going to be under fire if they are police bullets regardless of anyone's stance on this.

will say it again and again, when firearms are involved, they need a properly trained swat team to handle the situation. thats probably the first time alot of those officers fired there weapons live

one mrap that so many police departments have would have solved this without getting any civilians killed

10/10 post you said it way better than I ever could. It's nothing short of bizarre the way people have asked genuine questions and are met with condescension and immaturity for absolutely no reason. Yeah some of the replies have been pointed but for the most part people are asking for clarification and are met with "Google it" "Cupcake" "Chief" and other ridiculousness. It's fuking embarrassing how emotional these guys get, now imagine them in the same scenario. Of course they're defending it, all they know is to be reactionary and to escalate.

sad news broinnocent bystand shot in car. cops ain't got no sense here, they have a hostage you just don't charge in your not swat! Common sense to maintain distance and try to communicate get swat and snipers in. Once they are trapped in the traffic.

You guys seem pretty sensative. Maybe the internet isnt for you? The egos are the ones in here who have never done the job yet want to tell LEOs how to handle life or death situations. This situation is tragic but it was caused 100% by the actions of the suspects. The cops wete forced into action based on the suspects actions. Period

Bet those cops were dreaming of that scenario since the day they entered the force

Hopefully this causes 'Merica to wake and up their police standards

Seems like if you aren't going anywhere in life, just become a police officer. Too many potatoes ****ing up because "muh stress".

I'm usually a defender of LEOs because 99% of them have good intentions and I can't even imagine the split second decisions they have to make in extremely stressful situations... BUUUTTTTT.....

They clearly ****ed up here and should be held accountable.

I think anyone who's defending them is focused on their intent. I have no doubt their intent was pure, but they ****ed up and 2 innocent people died... If we don't hold people accountable for their actions, we will have anarchy.

The UPS driver leaves behind 2 daughters - aged 3 and 6... That hits deep...

Lol no they fukking weren't, this whole thing was completely mismanaged from the beginning.

They had helis tracking the van, and the van itself had tracking on it because UPS truck.

There was zero reason for 80+ police cars to be chasing it 20 fukking miles through south FL when they could've just kept tabs on it with the helis and waited for them to abandon it, and zero reason for them to corner and engage the truck when it got stuck in a packed fukking road and start unloading at it with rifles.

The whole lot of them should be fired, especially one ones who were using occupied civilian cars as cover in a goddamn gunfight, like wtf

I haven't read any of this thread, so idk what cope you've been spouting in here but it definitely was a tracking situation, police with half a brain will just hang back with cars and track with a heli while closing off the area and preparing for when they inevitably abandon the truck & hostage or get somewhere more secluded.

These chucklefuks were right on it's ass in crowded surface streets which led to it being trapped and the gunfight breaking out when it didn't fukking have to. Especially when there's a goddamn hostage onboard.

Seen lots of ex-military and LEO come out and say this is the worst display of policing they've ever seen in their life, it's indefensible.

this is what's wrong with society.. the police are always to blame, for everything.

you have 2 punks that rob a store, probably with an illegal firearm, and the police stop that threat, yet they're blamed because 2 innocent people died.

yes it's ****in sad, sad as hell, but the police are trained to respond and deal with situations as they come. there's a lot of **** happening all at once and they're doing their best.

not 1 police officer that responded to that call wanted the UPS driver or other person to be killed, and frankly, probably didn't even want these punks to be killed either, but it ****in happened because of the actions of thePUNKS NOT POLICE

yes it's ****in sad, sad as hell, but the police are trained to respond and deal with situations as they come. there's a lot of **** happening all at once and they're doing their best.

not 1 police officer that responded to that call wanted the UPS driver or other person to be killed, and frankly, probably didn't even want these punks to be killed either, but it ****in happened because of the actions of thePUNKS NOT POLICE

you have 2 punks that rob a store, probably with an illegal firearm, and the police stop that threat, yet they're blamed because 2 innocent people died.

man you are retarded. the police have a mandate, and they screwed the pooch on that mandate.

you're telling me if a bunch of armed robers get forced into a mall, by the police, and start shooting at the police, the police can airstrike the mall and the fault lies with the "baddies"? lmao
