So not one ounce of blame is on the shooters to you? Just the cops? Neat

The common sense fact is that the cops had a lapse of judgement by using these occupied vehicles as shields.cops weren't using civilians for cover, they were just using the engine blocks while the civilians were still inside the car. Oh and the civilian who tried to drive away? cops were just hiding behind his engine block as moving screen.

they need to be better equipped. idk much about combat equipment but isn't there like tear gas or sleep gas they could have used instead of using bullets around a mass of civillians

I'm usually a big supporter of the police - but this was beyond terrible.
You can't lay waste to a van with a hostage inside, while surrounded by civilians.....one of whom was killed, and I'm sure after the bullet is pulled from the civilian, it will be confirmed as police, along with the hostage.
I don't care how you slice it, that's a disaster, and unacceptable levels of recklessness and endangerment to the general population.
I don't think any of those officers had bad intensions, but they were not prepared for that situation, and that goes back to training. You can't mag dump with civilians everywhere and hostages......no criminal charges, but demotions for sure.

its miami dade, so they should have a swat team that can roll out as qrf. highway chases are common enough that there should be SOP's in place for how to handle them, opposed to the gongshow that was witnessed

I work in a job that deals with lots of lives as well, and although true every emergency is different.. There STILL IS AN SOP IN PLACE for you to adhere to and base your judgements off that.
