The watch faces are seiko and timex. I love the timex and wish I could find a replacement. It was like 40$ but looks better. The seiko was a project I did piecing together a strap and a watch head to mimic this Omega.

Aventus is the goat, enjoy all the ladies swooning over the amazing scent.

I actually smelled the ones you gave me! I'll give my thoughts.

Jubilation for Men Amouage- This is characterized as a sweet oriental scent. It's very fruity to me and Fragrantica noted it as having a basalmic scent to it. I just can't get over that top notes on it! I don't think I could wear it personally.

Creed Viking- A very clean, fresh smell. Maybe a bit "green" smell as people say. I frankly like this more than Green Irish Tweed which people say has a fresh/green smell. When it settles into your skin more citrusy/spicy scent to it. It seems to be versatile if you want a go-to fresh scent. Probably one of the safer fragrances I smelled.

Millesime Imperial- I mentioned this earlier in the thread. A very fresh smell. Definitely would be great for warmer climates. It has some citrusy/salty notes to me. I'd love to try this out in summer weather.

Creed Royal Oud- First few minutes of it on you you get a very woody scent. It initially reminded me of Tom Ford Oud Wood but not as woody, and that's a good thing. When the scent settles in more you get a faint hint of powder to it. I may wear it tomorrow to see how I like it for a day.

Creed Virgin Island Water- Coconut/Citrus. It's an interesting smell but it sort of reminds me of the loud shirt or accessory you bust out every now and then. Probably not for me unless but maybe I'd get it for one of my friends that lives in Miami or something lol.

Tom Ford Neroli Portofino- At first application it smells floral/powdery to me. This and Jubilation are probably the more unisex of the fragrances I tried which there are some I like. I think my girlfriend could wear this one better than me since the notes are more floral and powdery.

Those are my thoughts!

BTW the Aventus today lasted about 9 hours. I put two sprays on me and thought I put too little on. Later in the day it smelled really good. When it breaks down on me it gets to be more of a woody scent and it actually projects far better than I expected in the cold. Hope this helps someone else and thanks to my man Papillo!

I don't know how you all can judge this so well lmao. After 15 mins, I'm immune to anything I put on, unless I smell my wrist.

Also, nice to see Papillo hooking it up. Still some good miscers left.

It took a while. I've honestly smelled Aventus multiple times before buying it. Also I do spray on my wrist and other parts of my arm.

Wearing Royal Oud today to try it out. It's a great fragrance. Woody, powdery, and a masculine smell. If I didn't already have a Fall/Winter smell in Tom Ford Noir Extreme I'd cop this. I will say though it isn't as 'sexy' as Noir Extreme but I mean that's why there's hundreds of fragrances on the market!

EDIT: been wearing it the past hour and it's getting more of a sweet smell to it, which is frankly kind of distracting to the rest of the smell for me at least.

So I mentioned that I got a bottle of Creed Aventus for 180$ shipped and was trying to figure out how I did that. Well after looking at my bottle I realized I have a 4oz bottle which after doing some research they did away with 4 and went towards 3.3 oz. So I guess I must have gotten extremely lucky because even at its cheapest (besides Europe) the 3.3 still goes for around $300. I believe I got it from a splitter off of a forum just can't remember which one.

Can't wait for it to get warmer so I can actually wear some cool chit. I wanted to get a red and black buffalo check flannel shirt the other day, but realized that I wear a coat 9/10 days cos it's fukkin cold outside, so I would never get to wear the flannel shirt.

I need to get a shearling/sherpa jacket for next winter so I can actually get some variety going. Getting real tired of the crewneck/henley/shirt + coat with scarf combo I've been rocking lately.

Brah... why wouldn't you wear your flannel shirt with layers under your jacket? Do you spend that much time outside? Usually you are shuttling between your house, mode of transportation and work or school.

As for the shearling/sherpa, i couldnt recommend it any stronger. Got mine on today and it is so warm!

Oh yea. also wearing white pants. No f's given if its "out of season"

Thing is that I wear a grey overcoat + scarf most of the time and it's pretty dressy whereas the flannel shirt is not. I feel like it would look like a less horrible "sneakers with a suit" combo. I'll probably just order one and try it out though. Worst case scenario, I'll just have to wait until spring to wear it.

Fukkin mirin that jacket dude!! Where is that from?

Also mirin that Ralph Lauren sweater. A friend of mine has one of those and his name literally means "Bear" in Norwegian. Always gets sloots attention lol.

I can see how it could be hard to incorporate since flannel is traditionally work wear, that being said, if you can casual fridays, or even avoid the traditional red and black plaid, it is possible to wear it with an overcoat slightly dressed up. Something like this could work with dressier pants and boots:

or this tucked in with tailored pants and sleeker dressier boots like Dalton wingtips and definitely NOT tucked in like this dude did.

The jacket is from Sandro. Found it at their FL outlet.

Ha i see Sharpe struggles with pants that fit his legs like many others in this forum. Those look quite tight

man i miss the days purple label **** would sit at the polo outlets and were always 75% off.

Yep! A blue & black flannel shirt would probably work. I don't think there's a real way to make a red & black shirt to work with the type of overcoat that I have though. Poor people problems lol.

This sorta leads me into my next question. What kind of a warm jacket will get me the most bang for my buck, versatility wise? I need something that is at the very least as warm as a wool overcoat (preferably warmer as I need to be comfortable in like -10 Celsius/15 Fahrenheit), but less dressy. A shearling jacket would be perfect, but what other options are there? I was thinking a jeans sherpa, but I don't think those are warm enough for a proper winter jacket, and they look kinda dumb when you buttom them all the way up. Pls no parkas cos I'm sick and tired of those and literally everybody in Norway is wearing one when it's cold out. I basically want something in between a parkas and a pea coat when it comes to dressyness.

A less dressy coat would probably work, but I feel like I would still have the same issue when trying to wear red flannel shirts and certain t-shirts, no?

How tight are leather jackets supposed to be? Bought one on ebay for a good deal. 300 for a 850 msrp. The length and arm are perfect but the chest is a little too tight. Are they supposed to be line that?

Also I have a really nice leather jacket that cost 2200 from john varvatos but the sleeves are too long. Fit too tight.. can I get it tailored?

I've never chewed my nails in my life, i lost half of my nail in my middle finger in an accident at the gym a year ago when i tried to stop a heavy glass shower door from slamming (one of the most painful things i've experienced in my life) so half of it fills out weird and i cut that part off. I also generally cut my nails very short as i hate scratching them on any surface. It sends shivers down my spine.

Also I have a really nice leather jacket that cost 2200 from john varvatos but the sleeves are too long. Fit too tight.. can I get it tailored?
There is no real rule. It all depends on how you want to wear it. If you plan to wear it open without layers, then it could be tighter, if you plan to wear anything underneath or zipped up, then you obviously need more space.

As for the tailoring, sure, it could be shortened, but it has to be done but people familiar with leather, and its not that cheap. This place takes mail in orders, so you could research them and see if you want to take a risk.

True! It's easier to get away with bold colors if you're a black fellow. I'm pale af and colorful clothing makes me look even paler.
