agree with the above post that im not a fan of making money of gov. subsidies, but doesn't manipulating these systems in place for billions of dollars make you a genius in its own right? if it's so easy why isn't everyone doing it?

The story of Elon Musk is as real as that of Tony Stark. One is a product of Hollywood, the other a product of the CIA.

Joe Rogan "the tribune of plebs" couldn't have built him up any more and tongue-punched his rectal passage any deeper even if Yahweh had come down and promised him another 6 inches of height.

There is a certain mindset that government run projects are inferior to projects done by private companies.

Maybe we would be better off if any money that is subsidizing Tesla or SpaceX was instead put in the hands of DoT and NASA, or maybe not. Since this is real life most of us can only hope for the best. Excepting any miscers that actually get to vote on the Federal budget.
What Tesla gets was mostly tax credits. People actually have to puschase the product. As opposed to the fossil fuel industry which received 5.2 Trillion in subsidies in 2017. A 700 million tax credit is a drop in the bucket.

there is nothing special about teslas, there is no real advancement in tech, just a really well made battery.

Mercedes has completely stopped development of ICE and is completely focused on electric. lol, porches EV is already superior, as in it wont break down and go into limp mode when actually pushed to its limits.

sure the Tesla claims more power and has better numbers on paper, but with electrics motors power isn't so cut and dry and its easy to be deceptive, you can say a motor makes 600hp, but in reality if it cant sustain 600hp for very long without needing to cool down, then it really isn't a 600hp rated motor. Porsche EV makes power that it can sustain, prudent engineering, while Tesla does not.

Tesla recieved a percent of a percent of what the fossil fuel industry recieved. As far as SpaceX... who else is going to fund it? They're far more efficient than NASA since they have to compete for contracts.

No other car company has OTA updates. This is a huge plus for the company and the consumer.
Except they all have giant factories tuned for making ICE vehicles. Thats a sunk cost of hundreds of millions if not a billions. Porches range and cost is abysmal and still can't complete with something that Tesla developed nearly a decade ago. Not to mention even at almost 200k they're taking a loss.

no man... idk about spacex but tesla doesnt "make money based on govt handouts" lool. tsla cash flow is **** for sure, and thats the reason why i never bought tsla.. but there is something called... investors. analysts and investors alike seem to have a huge boner for the company and throw money at him.

also why not compare gates to musk? they both are/were the ceo and founder of companies that launched a product/products which revolutionized the industry.

you can think musk is a retard all you want, go ahead, but you cant deny that before his goofy ass came along everyone would have LMFAO'd in your face if you told them an EV would outperform the highest end sports cars.

I agree Elon Musk is overrated....

Edit: eg this video always makes me lol

Reporter: we can’t put solar panel in the city because there’s no space
Elon: Then put it in an empty field next to the city

Everyone starts clapping as if he said some genius level **** lmfao

Lol how long until Audi, merc, Bmw, VW, jaguar etc catch up & overtake Tesla when it comes to their EVs? Audi is just releasing their 1st EV - the e-tron/e-tron sportsback which looks nicer, has better interior and probably drives better too than the Tesla model x/y, performance wise they’re not that far behind, the gap is small...

im sure he didn't either...meanwhile you're miscing from your parents basement and he has a net worth in the billions..wonder who is more credible

and what's the highest level of physics you completed btw? guessing its 101, but you'll fraud and say something more significant that is still not even close to substantiate an argument about you knowing anywhere near the amount of information as Elon musk. let me know when u put a rocket into orbit

He runs Tesla like a tech company instead of a logistics company. Giving him an interest free loan for the roadster which hasn't been delivered yet and the cybertruck which will probably never see the road. Smart guy. Great innovator. But he stretches himself too thin. There is just not enough time in a day to complete all of his ideas.

you realize that their ICE's will still sell for a long time to come, and they use those profits to invest into their EV development, Toyota and Merc could have an R&D budget bigger than Teslas total revenue and still operate profitably

you realize the entire rest of the car is the same, changing from ice to electric is essentially trivial.

you realize they they use robotic machinery that can be programmed to do other things

lol at how uninformed you are.

but but OTA updates lmao its a car not a phone

tesla takes a net loss in every car they sell, did you not see the numbers.

This thread is full of cancer.

There’s nothing remotely trivial about coming to the US as an immigrant with no connections or money, then founding and exiting an 8 figure start up straight out of college (Zip2), then co-founding and exiting a billion dollar start-up (PayPal), then starting and growing a company that would be competing with juggernaut defense contractors (SpaceX), and taking the reigns of another that competes with other billion dollar incumbents (Tesla).

Both plays were extremely risky and on paper seemed beyond far-fetched. He put his money on the line for both multiple times early on. Both SpaceX and Tesla now have billion dollar valuations and they are both on the forefront of their fields.

All of this is like the entrepreneurial equivalent of pulling off Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps records as one athlete. No one would hate on that, it should be inspirational and show that America is the best country to make it. But when it comes to money and business, tons of idiots think they know better and need to hate to cope with their chit lives

No man. Wincel is smarter. He studies and takes classes. He knows math. He’s taken more math classes than Elon, so he’s smarter.

Funny thing about people like Wincel is this: they become educated, but never do anything with their education. So they keep going back to school because they’re so autistic they can’t even pass an interview. Keep going to school to tell people how smart they are, do nothing with their own life, and then talk **** and look down upon those who have actually made it.

“But but but... muh math! I know more math than you!”

Cool bruh. Apply it.

Sry bro, it doesn't matter what you did or how successful you are. If you don't understand how tug of war works, you're retardo.

To be fair I just watched this video explaining the f150 tug of war, and you're totally right about that.

You're an idiot if you think that investors are always right, I've got some triple A bonds I'd like to sell you.

It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

I'll stop. You seem confident in your literal retarded mind, so put your money where your mouth is. Buy puts in $TSLA. Prosper. Mog me from the moon when you're chilling in a mansion. Or stfu like the peasant you are. either way, that means you stfu for the significant future. Here we go
Lmao, stop lying.

Tesla's partners have left Musk and his ****gy bs shenanigans and are developing their autonomous driving systems on their own. And Audi introduced the world's first mass produced level 3 car.

Porsche, compete

And the rest is fake news. Tesla hasn't "developed" chit, EV tech is literally older than ICE. And Tesla's ****gy little cars are basically soapboxes compared to the Taycan.
