Reading the article op posted, judge sounds like a massive white knight. I would also guess courts hate porn type companies and think they are almost predatory

You guys are trying too hard to be based black pillers here, might want to read the court documents first before having strong opinions. GDP did a lot of things that are sleazy even considering the industry they're in:

-The actresses were made to sign documents right before the shooting and pressured them to sign as fast as possible, which was GDP's way of saying they "consented" to online distribution. GDP deliberately obfuscated the fact the videos would be widely distributed online and actively lied about the purposes of the "consent" document. Evidently in a court of law, this doesn't pass the sniff test.

-GDP and the sites they promote on were never even mentioned in the hurried documents, which enhances the former's point.

-They broadly used the likeness of the actresses in affiliate marketing and posted clips in free porn sites, which is pretty obvious evidence GDP never intended to protect the actresses' privacy in spite of documented promises that the videos would neither be distributed online nor seen in America.

-They moved money offshore in an attempt to dodge any financial liability.

$150k was just punitive. The also won a share of $9m compensatory damges. So each person will get like $500k each.

However whether thy will get is another matter. Further not sure how payment will work , when right now only 22 people joined the lawsuit. Im sure the other 500 + girls are going to now say they were also tricked. Thats going to be a small amount of money shared by all of them, from whatever they can recover from gsp.

What do you mean by "tricked"?

Nah. These girls knew it was porn. Youre getting mixed up in the supposed distribution and not the entire premise. The most nefarious thing they did there was their original ad didnt specify porn. This gave them a wider net and audience. After that they were told it was porn. This was over the phone though.

The entire premise of the court case is based on what exactly the actresses consented to and how GDP represented/conducted themselves, not whether they were "tricked" into doing porn. The fact they did porn to be distributed in some manner is evidently never contested, seeing as all actresses knew they would be performing on camera.

Again, the issue was never about being on camera. How GDP used the actresses' likeliness is crucial in establishing that they never intended to keep documented promises of limiting distribution of the videos to non-American audiences.

What the judge says is that the acting in the videos do not diminish their claims in the suit - as in, if an actress in a GDP video says "oh I can't wait for GDP to show everyone in the world how I suck dick", it has no bearing on whether she consented to worldwide distribution of her videos or how GDP represented themselves before getting her on camera. Of course, if you ever browsed a GDP thread or comments section you'd notice how many people actually believed the acting to approximate reality.

And the suit is entirely based on the matter of distribution consent and how GDP represented themselves, not whether GDP did "bad stuff" and to what extent. This is fundamentally a fraud case, not sexual crime.
