This one does come with a thumb safety though. Personally I lol @ safeties, but the deal might appeal to some of the soy boys in the crew
Takes literally 5 minutes to remove the thumb safety and S&W will mail you the little frame pieces that fill the spots where the safety was for free.

Probably. Their slides are nitride, which is definitely better than what 90% of pistols on the market are finished in.
Nitride isn't immune to rust though, so keeping a light coat of oil on it ins't a bad idea if you are a coastal brah or in a high humidity area. But it's extremely hard and generally does very well for holster abuse.

Old commuter, mazda b2500 (manual door locks, windows, trans) is on injured reserve. Not sure if I will fix it but it doesn't owe me anything. I despise a manual trans but other than it has been a reliable and useful vehicle.

No suppressor. They're useless to me, except for maybe on a hunting rifle. I do want to make one for funsies though.
I'm sure you know this, but be careful with crosswinds on that thing.

I don’t think they sell. Shields do but I don’t think m&p move much. That’s what the counter people at the shop I go to say anyway.

They recruited JAMES YEAGER to get behind the push and really tried to sell it off as an American Gloke 19

here is a picture NRA TV even took of JAmes Yeager shooting an m&p

Hit the gym and stopped by Culver's for the first time on the way home. Their drive-thru is weird . . . they give you a plastic tent with a number on it that you put in your car and then you pull forward into spaces and wait. I was sitting there for awhile and the manager came out to tell me they forgot to drop the chicken sandwich that takes something like 5 mins to cook. So he comped a pint of custard.

It's pretty tasty from what I tried. I got some things to bring home for the family to sample. The cheese curds are a big hit. Also got a burger and a crispy chicken sandwich. Chicken sammich is really good. Burger is better than many.

That custard is awesome. Upstate NY has fantastic custard places and there just really hasn't been any place with decent custard out here. Good Times and Freddie's are ok, but not to die for. The chocolate custard from Culver's is right up there with the Abbott's frozen custard from back east. I'll definitely be going back there again.

The cheese curds are my jam. Talking about them last week or whatever it was... made my ass go and get some that night. Lol.

The reason they do the number tents is because they cook the stuff more fresh than most other places so the wait is usually a little longer. They don’t just have cheeseburgers on stand by.

When I go to Culver’s, I usually eat 1,500 calories from the time I leave the drive thru to the time I get home. Then I still have my meal to eat. Lol.

lol what do you do, have the frozen/ice cream stuff first while driving then the meal when you get there? My 10 minutes is the other way, I like frozen dairy type stuff starting to melt so I let it counter-chill while I eat the food

Usually the first thing I go for is the cheese curds. I easily have an entire large order down before I get home. That’s 1,000+ calories by itself according to their website. Lol.

See the problem with Culver’s is everything is good. So it’s a temptation to order sooo much food. Like I would love to have a cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, fries, cheese curds, Pepsi, and shake. Matter of fact, I’m gonna stop looking at their website, because now I see they also have chili cheese fries, and mashed potatoes and gravy and rolls. Lol. I don’t even wanna be tempted to try any of it.

Yeah basically everything is ~500 calories. An order of cheese curds, a burger, the chicken tenders, and then a drink, maybe some of the kid's food because I get them a whole meal and they don't eat all of the fries or cheese at the least...and a shake or custard or concrete thing...lawd

Also, wait what? Mashed potatoes and gravy and rolls?!? Is this all of theM?!

I’m getting back in the gym. What do you guys suggest for simple maintenance/strength and just staying somewhat in shape now that I’m in my 30s.

I was thinking of doing squat, deadlift, bench, and standing over head presses once a week. Like 5x5 or something.

Then once a week I’ll do some supplemental bodybuilding stuff like lat pull downs, curls, leg extensions and all that at like 3x10.

Or is that dumb? Trying to limit my time in the gym while still being effective and not wasting my time

do you know how fukin awful it is to eat CHEESE CURDS without the fixins? I usually just end up feeding them all to the dog

Very simple, and you have sets, reps, weight planned for each workout. Without it, I find myself dikking around and wasting time

Generic, 5.56 for barrel length of 10.5" or greater

300 blk for anything shorter, with 8-9" working pretty well.

The point of having a short barrel with a suppressor is you can end up with a total length equal to, or less than, a typical 16" rifle, but it's suppressed and is thus significantly less loud and with significantly reduced concussion

And have you ever tried to do anything with a 16" barrelplussuppressor?

never tried 16" plus suppressor, but I assume it's even more unwieldy than my 30" barrel shotgun.

I thought 300 blk was superior since it was designed for short barrel, and that .223 would lose too much velocity at 10-ish inches. I'd be happy to be wrong on this, being that it's much cheaper.

To me, out of a usable barrel length (11.5" preferred/default, but down to 10.5") 5.56 is 'better' because afford is affordable and ammo and practice and training are what's better. Also logistics of not adding a new cartridge and having to keep magazines separate from 5.56 etc

After researching HD stuff for the months i was on the couch with my leg, the concussion and quiet is exactly why i would want a suppressor. Especially since the point would be to utilize indoors if the need arises.

How is that BTW?

The concussion of a rifle indoors in a smallish room is probably pretty terrible.

But, even if you go the opposite direction, short and unsuppressed (ow, my ears and sinuses), there's an argument to be made for it as well (I'd still choose 16" with flash hider, or suppressed SBR)

Old commuter, mazda b2500 (manual door locks, windows, trans) is on injured reserve. Not sure if I will fix it but it doesn't owe me anything. I despise a manual trans but other than it has been a reliable and useful vehicle.
My dad had an old red 2wd b2500 that I used to drive out on the land. Got it stuck so bad one time my brother got 2 4wd tractors stuck trying to pull it out. My dad ended up giving it to a guy who who does some work around the farm and hunting club and its still going. You can't kill those damn things.

I was gonna get a 250 or 300 motorcycle to cruise around on and drive to work occasionally but then I remembered how retarded people near me drive at rush hour and the wife got preggo so that plan got shut down

Just get a 10.5 inch .450 bushmaster. The concussion and sound alone will disable a home invader even if you miss.
