I had severe depression a few months ago, still held down my high-stress management position in the financial/accounting industry, kept up gym routine, house routine, wife routine, etc. Felt like chit, but knew it would be much chittier if I ****ked it and thrown everything into the dumpster. Really tempted to do so TBH, even with the wife, and she's the best human being I've had the pleasure of knowing. In fact, I wanted to do that, then kill myself, but somehow didn't.

There was a time nearly 2 decades ago, when I actually fukked everything and let myself go. That pit was too deep to climb out of, and took years to reverse the damage that happened just because I felt the blues. If it comes to that again and having no willpower to keep everything going, I'd probably kill myself first.

Churchill had chronic depression, and managed an entire empire through the second world war.

Its the pink haired dole sucking fukwits with "depression" that give the rest of us a bad name.

Doctors are too quick to diagnose depression to get that sweet pharmaceuticals money

Psychologists are too quick to diagnose to get a client base.

I genuinely believe anti-depressants are poison. It'll help you if you're on the border of suicide, but should be weaned off anything beyond that.

You suck OP for painting with broad strokes, but I can see where you're coming from if the most prominent "depressed" people are welfare leeches with colourful hair, and self-caused problems.

I've lost track of the number of people I've known who seems to be living solid lives and then bammm... suicide one day. And the number one reason i know your view on depression is wrong...

More people commit suicide globally each year than ALL wars, conflicts, murders, and natural disasters COMBINED manage to kill. That is a chit ton of people so depressed and burned by life that they believe their only way out is suicide.

Depression/suicide is no joke. And if you're trolling with this thread ... negs for life.
