How does an investing noob learn more without drowning in information? Is there a good book / starter guide? In my mind it seems a good time to get into the stock market once you feel that things have hit bottom. REPS

It's been all sunshine and rainbows for most people in their 20s. This chit isn't normal.
Back when I was growing up in the 80's, the stock market was considered high risk-high reward. Most people under 30 think of it as low risk, high reward.
Unfortunately they don't see the circus for what it is has become in recent years.
At this point, you're risking a lot for possible 7% long term returns. I'll stick with lower risk bonds.
Even with all of the dips, you'd be a fool to buy into this market right now.

As more and more us cases are confirmed, it’s going to drive uncertainty which will make for a volatile market
Unless it’s already priced in,

I would honestly expect a slight down market tomorrow with a huge plunge late into the afternoon. Like a 1500-2000 point plunge. Nobody wants to be holding the bag if this virus blows up over the weekend.

Lol at buying into the stock market towards the end of the longest bull run in American history. You guys sound like the real estate ass clowns towards the end of 2007.
This is how the wealthy make money. There about to do some serious consolidation of wealth when you guys buy the dip and there's another couple +1000 point burn offs

I think the economy is on life support and the eventual large correction has just been brought closer in time as people go more in debt to buy overvalued assets (like real estate).

I’ve been in that portfolio for around 7-8 years and rode the debt party upwards.
I’m holding off putting new cash in though.
The reason the market is gyrating so much these days is because everyone knows the big one is coming, we just don’t know exactly when of course. There are warning signs everywhere though. Worldwide interest rates as the biggest warning sign IMO.
