I wouldn't expect law enforcement to know the law.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/new-jerse...gun-legal-ammo

"New Jersey security guard arrested over licensed gun, legal ammo"

A New Jersey gun owner is fighting charges for carrying a firearm for which he had a permit and ammunition state police have publicly said is legal.

Roosevelt Twyne, a 25-year-old African-American security guard, was arrested by Roselle Park Police in February after a traffic stop stemming from tinted windows on his car. Evan Nappen, Twyne's attorney, told the Washington Free Beacon that his client was then erroneously charged for illegally carrying a firearm and being in possession of so-called hollow point ammunition.

"He was arrested for the hollow point ammunition," Nappen told the Free Beacon. "Then they claimed he was transporting his handgun illegally. He had a permit to carry a handgun. The law … makes it clear that it's illegal to transport unless you are licensed pursuant to chapter 58. And that is precisely what a handgun carry permit is."

Nappen said the ammunition that led to Twyne's arrest was the same ammunition issued by his employer. He also pointed to a New Jersey State Police website that says the polymer-tipped Hornady "Critical Duty" ammunition in question is "not considered to be hollow point ammunition" and not illegal to possess in the state—the website goes so far as to specifically name "Critical Duty" as an example of legal ammunition.

Thanks, I looked it up but wasn't sure about the kag as it's technically not vfg. No vfg on pistol if overall length is less than 26", but I'm pretty sure 11.5" upper is more than 26" so it won't matter.

Don't forget that our friends at the BATFE "clarified" the definition of OAL when it comes to pistol braces.

I have my original house that I got when i was married, and couldnt sell it at the time. So ended up renting it out through a property manager. She takes 10% but is totally kick ass and it's essentially stress free. I just am the bank essentially. I was about to refi but this cornavirus crap came in and my stocks took a hit, so im going to wait until it rebounds a little. Refi'ing could put ~900/mo in my pocket and turn the property into making ~300 a month (even after the rental fee). Just want to see if the market pops a little with the drop in rates we're seeing.

Plan is to get back to VA and use the equity i have in my house up here to snag another property or 2. I have a close friend who is a realtor and he is always seeing deals out there and showing me stuff.

Ending was trash.
This is why i kinda dont want to watch it. I had a feeling it would end up going in the gutter with the way they had to make it work.

The book also sucked a big fat donkey cawk. It was amazing, but as im reading im realizing it would just dead end and be one of those open endings.

And on episode 4 now. Chit is at least entertaining. Not sure who would give a 1 star....

There's still conflicting info out there.

https://www.guntrustguru.com/can-i-a...15-pistol.html

This says that if it's a collapsible brace (e.g. sba3 brace) then the brace in the full/most collapsed position is part of the measurement. I.e. the collapsed brace is included in the measurement, not only the buffer tube.
How Do You Measure the Overall Length of a Firearm with a Stabilizing Brace?

Removable muzzle devices (such as flash suppressors, muzzle brakes, barrel extensions, etc.) do not count towards overall length or barrel length measurements, so they would be removed before measuring.

On June 25, 2019, the ATF clarified its position regarding how overall length for firearms using stabilizing braces should be measured. If the stabilizing brace is stationary, only standard receiver extensions are considered in overall length measurements. For example, accessories (extensions) that have superfluous material are not included in the overall length measurement. However, when a device operating as a stabilizing brace is attached to a firearm using a folding or collapsing mechanism, overall length is measured with the brace in the folded or collapsed position. Otherwise, a firearm could avoid classification as an AOW, yet retain the concealability and functionality of an AOW.

I don't think that's what the ATF letter/clarification says about folding/telescoping braces.

EDIT: Below.

Makers also create an artificial overall length measurement by attaching a folding stabilizing brace. Such a measurement would be problematic because the firearm could avoid classification as an “AOW,” yet retain the concealability and remain fully functional. Measuring a folding (or telescoping) stabilizing brace would therefore undermine the comprehensive statutory and regulatory design of the GCA and NFA. As stated above, this is not the case when measuring rifles or shotguns because the statutory definitions include the stock or shouldering device which therefore must be considered. The measurement of a folding or collapsible stabilizing brace in the overall length of a firearm creates an artificial overall length that would permit a maker to avoid classification as an NFA “firearm” without a viable design purpose or legal justification.

Even if stationary however, only standard receiver extensions will be considered in overall length measurements. For example, accessories (extensions) that have superfluous material are not included in the overall length measurement because they are intended to circumvent the law and serve no purpose in the function of the firearm.

Yeah I think the letter says to only include the buffer tube, not the telescoping/collapsible part of the brace, so I'm going with that. Idk why the source that I cited states otherwise.

Breakfast skillet is one of their worst. Their eggs are not very good, avoid them. Never had granola. Chili mac is pretty good. Is your issue taste, or sodium? If it's taste, try spaghetti, chili mac, rice with chicken (good but can be spiced up with Tabasco or even just pepper or a sprice, most calorie dense if the list IIRC),biscuits and gravy, beef stroganoff

Consider there are companies you can order a gun from and specify the serial number you want. My dad ordered a Henry lever with birthdays as the serial for example

Shot for the first time today in a couple weeks. Feels good mane. I saw this drill on Primary and Secondary. B8 target at 10 yards. 10 shots as fast as you can without failing. Failing is anything outside the 10 ring. I can’t do that chit. Maybe with a red dot but still. I made failing anything outside the black.

So basically it's The Test. Very well known, Vickers/Hackathorn, 10 yards 10 rounds 10 seconds. The base method is all 10 in the black pass/fail, though you can also do score of 90+ to pass. See also, 5 yards/seconds or 15 yards/seconds (all 10 rounds)

in all seriousness, ive realized over the last year that owning one gun is good, but owning two of the exact same gun is even better.

Taste and sodium. Some of them are ok with taste, but most i found over or under flavored. There's a lot stuff that i don't dread eating for multiple days at a time and worry about water retention.

My range had one of the 2020 vp9s with the 17 round mags. I might get it. I always regret when I get something other then Glock and almost always end up selling it. But I’ve shot a VP9 a couple times and they’re tits.

Can't go wrong with a VP9.

I hope those 17 rounders start going for the old ~$36 the 15's were sooner rather than later. I suppose I'll get a couple
