Who cares if we all die?
We were all supposed to be dead because of Y2K. These 20 years were just a bonus anyway.
Look, if the media reported every death from the regular flu or every car accident death, a lot of sheep would panic as well.
This is just going to lead to bad laws because the panicked population just wants the politicians to “do something”
Fuk the fear mongers. Live your life. Stop worrying about things you have no control over.
Sports events being cancelled. You got more chance of dying on the way to the sporting event.
In true 21st century social media fashion, it’s become a race to see who can panic the most.
It’s a glorified flu at the end of the day.
Unless it killed hundreds of millions or billions of people. Then we can panic together.

There's a hospital system that people need access to in order to survive medical emergencies, and this disease royally screws with it. Taxpayers will end up footing the bill for your grandpa's three weeks on a ventilator if his small business has to shutter during a lockdown. Not caring about catching it and spreading it is the most narcissistic-autistic coontery since the Supreme Gentleman.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

This is correct. Speculating about ulterior motives, no matter how glaring they might be, is, literally, conspiracy theorizing.

Of course it’s going to be at the forefront of fear and blame and outrage.
I’m living my life, you lock yourself in your house for 20 years. Your house has more dangers than this flu.

The guy has started to approach Baghdad Bob levels. As I've said before, it's weak leadership to not just own that this is very bad, that there are ongoing problems, and that everybody needs to stay calm and pull in the same direction, instead of insisting that everything is going great, that any problems are "fake news", and that governors calling out federal failures are "snakes".

A point of clarification. I think I have been guilty of using the term "exponential" in the past regarding this outbreak. Exponential trends terminate in infinity. There will obviously NOT be infinite deaths. This is logistic growth, not exponential. Similar, but subtly different.

Cancer doesn't just suddenly explode and overwhelm a health system. You can expect a certain number of cancer cases per year and allocate the appropriate resources to handle it.
COVID-19 has more or less come out of left-field and has the potential to strain and overwhelm our health system.

Don't let corporate media bring you down, man.
Don't listen to the fuzz when they serve you with a quarantine order, man.
Take that Mediterranean cruise you've always dreamed about, and rawdog hookers with deep wheezing coughs in every port. Then have a long layover at JFK after flying back out of Milan and close-talk with lots of old people who seem lonely.
Live your life.

This is the same city that closes public transportation over a cm of snow.
If you report every car accident or every case of the flu, the same panic would ensue. People need to realize that this is not the catastrophe it is being made out to be.
Panic and euphoria have taken over, all reason is gone.

All this proves is that socialized medicine doesn’t work. And that anti gouging laws are counter productive.

Its stupid. Worst case scenario just listen to the direction of cdc and other people that know what they are talking about.
Why are you people trying to make this into the end of the world. It's not, we just need to follow the steps we're asked to

The same people telling me that the virus is the end of us are the same people using the virus for political gains.
At times like these politicians are all useless. Doesn’t matter who they are. They actually make matters worse.
Bad laws always follow the mass panic.
