Not saying there should not be worry, but shutting down as if its the bubonic plague is a bit extreme. But i guess when you have media panic, and also the average joe population cant do the basic prevention strategies then i guess lockdown is reasonable.


At least credit to Italy. Other countries are shutting down sporting events but subways and trains are fully operational...

I don't know....Hong Kong, Taiwan, Phillipines hasn't blown up. SK only went up due to a super spreader cult. Japan hasn't exploded. Things can change, but these places seem to be handling things well. India had its first case long ago, and not many so far.

It's an interesting argument about the origin of this virus and personally I don't believe either side of the coin atm. I definitely know there' some sort of manipulation going on when I think back to all the other previous viruses. The way the media has been handling this is very suspicious.

You do look at mortality you goof in addition to spread and weight it up, which is why the UK is in stage 1 of 4. You do not shut it all down. Do we shut it all down annually during flu season?

What is the prevalence in the absolute core of it all in Wuhan? If you point to Chinese skewing numbers then go to the conspiracy thread. Most people are aware there is probably somewhat of a skew.
