I actually have a different gun for that. S&W .460

If there are 12 guys lined up behind a fridge attempting to gain access I can get them with one shot.

.45 ACP next to the .460 for size reference

Mirin collection, OP.

But let's be real. That's all it is -- a collection. For even half of those guns to be actually put to good use there would have to be some kind of overnight SHTF apocalyptic scenario. In all other scenarios, the government will have time to confiscate any weapons it doesn't like. And 99.9% of people who purchased guns legally will readily hand them over like good docile citizens. Leaving only two groups of people armed: the government and criminals (wait... that's actually just one group then).

Urbanties truly are the Calvinists of the 21st century. Always plagued by a nagging fear that someone out there is having good time that they don't approve of. Their tools are social shaming and ridicule since that is what they themselves fear most.

In the US there isn't a national firearm registry. The only guns that the government keeps record of are NFA items like full autos, SBRs and suppressors

Yeah...because in an apocalypse the government is going to have the manpower and capability and willingness (including ALLLLL those people's individual willingness) to go door to door, town to town, count to county, state to state, confiscating firearms from a couple hundred million people a huge number of which (remember, this is an apocolyopse you are talking about) won't hand them over.

Hollywood called, they said your idea isn't even believable enough to make a movie

Don't forget to tell them that:

Said data does not include any information of the firearm(s) transferred.

Said data only exists when the purchase is made at an FFL (most states) where prior fed gov permission is required, many transactions don't even involve NICS (nor should they)

I wrote that an apocalypse would be the only scenario where those guns would come in handy. But nevermind even that because OP and TBO1313 just taught me something about owning firearms in the US.
