My "savings" account right now has about 10% cash ready to put to work if we get more down days. And if that gets to the end of it's leash, im going to dump my HD to generate some more. My 401K has about the same ready to pounce. Sit the original hair cut, im almost green again on all the new holdings and positions. Still have about 20% to go to get back to where we were before it all. And the dow/S&P have more than that to go.

Doesn’t that make sense though? With the measures put into place, you would hope it would lower the total number of deaths.

LOL! Didnt even think about that. The running joke among the friends is how now, it's a year later, and we are all suck inside.

I think I just have a conventional mortgage. Part of me wonders if i could use this since im going to be selling mid summer....

Problem was he was the guy all of the news outlets were parading out there with doom and gloom. And he adjusted his figures more so because of timelines and knowledge now that we have. Like china doing nothing for 1-2 months and letting things operate as normal, whilst spreading across the globe.

Good news, I have had time to work on the car.

Bad news, It took ALL of my time to work on my car. What a PITA. Supposed to be simple gets complicated as hell. Undoing someone else's work from 20 years ago. My hands are destroyed and I'm whooped. Hindsight: I should have left it alone.

good morning all.

Everybody ok? Our County Health officer just ordered all essential businesses still operating to "screen" all employees daily for fever, cough, & shortness of breath.

Great, now I have to go through 100+ employees each shift.

I rolled the dice, put a mask on and went inside spec liquor store
Bought 16 boxes of wine
They already had it up front so I wasn’t in the store long, wasn’t very busy

Feeling really lucky and picking up some food from a restaurant tonight as well
Will know in 5 days if this was a mistake or not

I guess it's not enough to simply tell them that if they are sick to stay home, which we have done multiple times since this whole thing started.

Could be worse though. We could be shut down.

I keep a bottle of hand-san in my Truck door drink holder pocket. When I open my truck door I use it and on my keys, etc.. so the inside of the truck is good. Also keep some masks in the truck too.

How long will that wine last?

Found out at least 2 clients from work either have it or were awaiting testing. They weren't regulars but I don't foresee keeping the doors open at work for quite some time.

I installed a new set of headers. The collector on one side is leaking. I will run it through heat cycles and keep cranking the nuts. otherwise will have to unscrew and re-seat it. Ugh...pain because I bought cheap ones with real bolts/nuts that flop around versus good ones with studs. I should have left it alone. It had a good (old) set of equal length headers, but they were touching the AC lines which bothers me, and I am home bored.

Welp, wife might get laid off, will know tomorrow. She had a conference all with her colleagues and boss indicating there's no immediate time frame for road construction to get back on track...asked for volunteers in the HR department to be laid off, and if not the boss will decide by tomorrow. There's a couple young/single people in their department, hoping they take the hit for the team.

Not my mortgage company. All they're offering is the ability to defer your payments up to 3 months but on the 4th month you gotta pay the 3 months PLUS the 4th month. I can make my payments but I still feel this is so wrong because I know many folks won't be able to make their payments.

The good news for those that do get laid off, unemployment insurance was expanded/increased in the last bill.
