10 hidden gems: Didn't expect much going in, but was amazed by all of these. IMDB intros not mine lol.
Calibre: A shocking deed turned their weekend trip into a nightmare. Now their only hope is to swallow their paranoia and act normal.
Coherence: Strange things begin to happen when a group of friends gather for a dinner party on an evening when a comet is passing overhead.
Creep: A young videographer answers an online ad for a one-day job in a remote town to record the last messages of a dying man. When he notices the man's odd behavior, he starts to question his intentions.
Enemy: A man seeks out his exact look-alike after spotting him in a movie.
I Saw the Devil: A secret agent exacts revenge on a serial killer through a series of captures and releases.
Shot Caller: A newly released prisoner is forced by the leaders of his gang to orchestrate a major crime with a brutal rival gang on the streets of Southern California.
The Gift: A young married couple's lives are thrown into a harrowing tailspin when an acquaintance from the husband's past brings mysterious gifts and a horrifying secret to light after more than 20 years.
The Night Of (TV): After a night of partying with a woman he picked up, a man wakes up to find her stabbed to death and is charged with her murder.
The Ritual: A group of college friends reunite for a trip to the forest, but encounter a menacing presence in the woods that's stalking them.
Wild Tales: Six short stories that explore the extremities of human behavior involving people in distress.

Since we all know about the big hits and classics, that isn't much good if you want something new. So stuff like The Invisible Man, Casino, Goodfellas, Titanic, T2, 1917 etc isnt worth suggesting.
I'm making this thread so people can suggest really good hidden gem type movies, from any decade, which never got much media attention.
I will start with this one.Take Shelter. This is about a guy who has a lot of visions about the end of the world basically. Very, very underrated movie and I suggest you watch it. Got some good actors in it too. Trailer:
For some reason this never got much interest which is weird since it is a decent movie. Even has MuRrrRrrRrf from Interstellar in it

French Movies
The Nest - One of the best action movies I've ever seen. Special Forces and a team of professional robbers have to team up and defend a warehouse from heavily armed Albanian gangsters in desperate circumstances.
Taxi - A taxi driver who drives a heavily modded Peugeot is enlisted by the Police to help catch a group of German bank robbers.
The Brotherhood of the Wolf - A French Chevalier and his native American companion are hired to investigate a series of brutal killings in rural pre-Revolutionary France, supposedly by a giant wolf.
The Horde - A small group (more of a gang) find themselves trapped in a high-rise apartment block as a zombie outbreak ravages the inhabitants.
UK gems (not so much hidden gems in UK, but Ameri-brahs may not be aware)
Dead Man's Shoes - A former soldier returns to his home town to deal with the low-life bullies who tormented his younger and mentally impaired brother.
The Rise of The Footsoldier - A solid movie documenting the hooligan lifestyle of ICF member Carlton Leech, and also focusing on the Essex Range Rover murders of 1995.
Withnail & I - a bleak comedy focusing on two young drug taking out of work actors living in a squalid London flat. One of the most quotable films I have come across.
A Room for Romeo Brass - Same director as Dead Man's Shoes. An oddball loner befriends two schoolchildren before turning sinister.
US movies
Animal Factory - A young, middle class youngster is thrown into a high security prison following a drug charge. He is befriended by one of the prison's top dogs.

Thanks, OP I will watch that movie seems interesting. Only watched like 15 seconds of trailer dont want to spoil it. I don't know what it is but as I get older I cant watch generic movies anymore. I loved bad boys as a kid but I tried to watch the new one and stopped after 30 minutes. Same goes for superhero movies. I need movies that make me think movies that i cant predict the ending 10 minutes into the movie. If you guys got suggestions quote me and ill rep.
Anyway here is my contribution both great movies and most likely not seen by people. Both should be available on netflix too.
Edit this one is also very good but a bit more popular than the above two i figure most of you have seen it...if you have not then you def should.
