Must see post about Covid-19
Lemme explain how bad math is being used to create fear mongering...
It's some pretty simple math..
To start I googled what percentage of Covid cases result in hospitalization
The first result was this
MONDAY, March 30, 2020 (HealthDay News) -- Once infected with the new coronavirus, a 20-something has about a 1% chance of illness so severe it requires hospitalization, and that risk rises to more than 8% for people in their 50s and to nearly 19% for people over 80, a comprehensive new analysis finds.
Now lets use Michigan as an example to apply these numbers..
Confirmed
39,262
Recovered
-
Deaths
3,567
So confirmed cases are based on people being so severe they decide to get tested
1% of 20 somethings require hospitalization it stands to reason the other 99% don't bother getting tested. But to be conservative lets say 90% don't
92% of people under 50 likely don't get tested either.. but for the sake of argument let again just use the 90% number
and then people over 80, it appears about 80 percent are likely not severe enough to require a test..
it stands to reason the 80+ group are the smallest segment of the population but will weigh this a little heavy just for giggles..
so lets just for giggles say 85% of people who get it never get sick enough to require a test.
now take the confirmed cases number and compare it to what we know about the disease..
40,000/260,000 = 15.3% so to produce 40,000 confirmed cases on the conservative side will say there's really been 260,000 cases.. that's being highly conservative but we'll use these numbers anyways..
Now lets use these numbers to see how they effect the death rates..
With the reported cases you're look at a 9% death rate (3,567/39,262) which seems scary.
Lets compare it to our conservative number for actual cases..
3,567/260,000.. it drops to 1%..
Instead of using the exaggerated 15% of total cases resulting in hospitalization/testing lets say its actually 10% which still might be high but its closer to reality..
this would be more accurately reflected with the total cases being roughly 380,000
now our math is 3,567/380,000 which brings our numbers to .9%
Be we need to go deeper than this.. It's been reported by doctors that they are being asked to ignore comorbidity factors in deaths of patients with covid symptoms whether or not a test is ever done.
so of those 3,500 deaths its possible half of them really died to underlying factors such as heart disease or cancer..
so lets cut our number in half to more accurately reflect this.. we now have 1,800 deaths..
1,800/380,000 = .4%
which makes covid only slightly more deadly than the common flu..
And yet the fear mongering media has convinced us all to wear masks and stay at home, putting us into another potential recession.. if not worse..
Can someone tell me what's really going on here?

Bullseye. Latest research puts it in line with the flu, its just only the sickest are getting tested. Not only that but if someone dies from something unrelated to Covid it’ll be a Covid death if they have it

Antibody tests in NYC suggests that 25% of the population there have already got the virus and have the antibodies. With the new info the death rate there is .5%

in texas we are at a .04% infection rate and a .002% death rate
But god forbid we open gyms or beauty salons or allow mroe than 25% occupancy anywhere else.
You are also a hero if you call the police and report anyone not following the rules, you are LITERALLY saving lives.

Yep. If you’re a young, healthy individual, your risk with Covid-19 is minimal and you should be able to go about your business as usual. If you live with at-risk loved ones however, you’re a selfish piece of chit if you don’t take it just as seriously as they likely are, and should be held responsible if you end up giving them the coronavirus and they die from it because of your negligence.

Confirmed
39,262
Recovered

Deaths

The media/politicians all banging on about the new normal simultaneously, should be a dead giveaway this is all being orchestrated from a central source.
