I think nukes should be privately owned, change my mind.

Weapons of mass destruction, chemical weapons, and heavily armed vehicles/warships/aircraft are all a product of bloated government spending in the interest of national security. This would mean that it would basically become impossible for individuals to accumulate certain armaments without access to a vast array of resources and capital, both monetary and human. As a result, individuals cannot feasibly obtain a monopoly on power to threaten entire populations or political entities, and the only realistic opposition which can be formed against a government or large civilian populace is by means of a militia consisting of many like-minded individuals, as the 2A intends.

Theoretically, one can also expect in the future for technology to improve, the government to utilize more advanced weaponry, and costs to be reduced on certain weapons/technologies, thus increasing availability of said products to the civilian market. The founding fathers predicted a steady improvement in weaponry and technology with time, and consequently worded the 2A very specifically to encompass all arms, not just muskets and cannons. Therefore, I conclude that it would be hypocritical to limit civilian ownership of arms to only sporting rifles and plate carriers.

Oof . . . I kicked my own azz today. Decided today was a good day to turn on the sprinker system. Everything went great til zone four and I had a couple heads acting up. That then turned into deciding to move one of the heads about two feet and then digging a couple others out to replace them and raise them up a bit. I've been procrastinating doing that for a few years and figured I might as well just keep digging if I was already dirty.

That was followed by pulling out a couple old bushes.

For the sprinklers, I ended up needing to run to Home Depot for a few things. I keep a pretty good supply of sprinkler parts but somehow managed to not have a few things I really needed (some different couplers and some different pop-up sprinklers). Home Depot was limiting the number of people in the store at any one time. They had the entrance on the far right near the garden center as the lone entry point and then the one on the other end was exit only. Pretty good line when I arrived. It went pretty fast . . . was maybe outside for 20 mins. Then when I got inside there were limited customers. When one came out, the dude at that exit would radio the person at the one entrance to have them send someone new in. One out--one in.

There were a lot of people wearing masks--but still surprised by the people who didn't wear anything. And there were a ton of people out today.

It's surprisingly but also not. Our nation has a lot of anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers, don't believe in seat belts, don't wear eye pro at the range, I mean we gotta keep our life expectancy lower than many other industrialized nations somehow and being fatasses may not be enough

Took a P365, Glock 26 and Glock 19 COMP to the range today.

I wasn't expecting much of the comp, other than for it to look cool. I was fukin wrong. felt like a .22 with 115 gr loads, KKM accuracy is pretty crazy good, was shooting the circles out of a 6's and 8's at 10 yards on a 1 inch target.

Going from a Glock 19 Comp, to a 26, to a P365, made me never want to shoot the P365 again.

the ones that are perplexing are the people who will do stupid things just because of "muh rights." Don't want to wear a mask during a respiratory virus pandemic because you think it's unconstitutional? Feel free to fight that, but wearing a mask is just the smart thing to do. There are all kinds out there.

I work with a lady who is the weirdest combination of political views and actions. She votes progressive all day long and hates Trump. But she has a concealed carry permit--she just doesn't think anyone should own "machine guns". And she never wears a seatbelt when she drives . . . because she doesn't like the government telling her what to do. She doesn't even want to discuss the safety aspect. I mean--that's just stupid.

I don't wear a mask because the pandemic isn"t here, and even if it was it's not a legitimate threat to my health. Plenty of other diseases you could catch at any given time, so it's always been smarter to wear a mask and gloves, but virtually no one did before and will stop again when this passes.

That being said, I was at the register yesterday and some guy got in my personal space. Was legit within 2 ft and I almost snapped on him. I've always been a social distancer, and here you guys are jumping on the bandwagon thinking you're smarter than me. fuking lol

Didn't post finished product yesterday as we had neighbors over for dinner. Here we go. 12 hour cook, final internal temp right at the perfect 203F mark.

I love crispy bark mixed with tender and juicy internal meat after shredding. Deep and bright smoke ring. Tons of flavor, no sauce needed.

Did sliders with pork piled up on kings Hawaiian rolls with a few pickled red onions, small splash of carolina vinegar based sauce and good to go. Neighbor said it was the best pork he had tasted in his life.

Extrapolation of a rate to longer timelines to imply a magnitude beyond what's currently occurring is disingenuous. The high infection rate of the 'rona is what causes the high rate of deaths relative to time, not percentage of those infected.

It's, in fact, safer than the flu and just now having the same impact.

Flu does this every year, killing millions of the same demographic over time.

It's an election year, following 3+ years of time-to-buy. Hopefully you bought during the last 3+ years when we were all yelling at everybody to buy ammo (and guns) 'right now' because it was only going to get worse.

Probablysupply will get better this summer but election runup is around the corner, so, who knows...and even if supply picks up I wouldn't expect prices to go down enough to matter unless and until loud mouth orange man wins the election vs creepy old uncle in Nov
