The 200SX was all the age when they came out all them years ago.

Did you consider the 300ZX?

And in 4 pictures, mane.

I like you. First it was the headbands and now your car project.

I've been dealing with this neighbor for a bit now, late 50s early 60s, everyone hates him, lives alone, TV dinner for one type of person that bitches about everything on Earth. The final straw came when he called the cops on the 5 year old neighbor kids for "vandalizing" his sidewalk with chalk.

Long story short I couldn't control my temper and basically got into it with him so he started finding lil things to **** with me. I'm about to report him to IRS and immigration for hiring illegal day laborers for his business and paying them with cash lolol.

Hopefully after this lil ****show is done I can start making some progress. And coilovers are finally slated to be delivered tomorrow

I had a Z32, but got wrecked by a drunk driver. I started looking at em not long ago, a dealer was selling one with 64 miles on it for 82k lol

It's pretty awful, he's a 6'8 tall 160 lb balding lankcel with a chip on his shoulder. His son was cool and we talked a bit but he ended up leaving to get away from his own dad.

Hopefully this will get rid of him

Coilovers finally showed up, Pro 2 ways, this is the only set made for this chassis, custom made, sans reservoirs due to space issues but these have the compression and rebound independently adjustable. Took almost 4 months to get

Bought a wet sandblaster attachment for my Pressure washer and cleaned up my transmission case before I start tearing it apart.

Wasn't perfect but it worked decent and got the job done

Not much going on, alot of parts still in shipping limbo, took a few minutes to take apart my distributor and order a new shaft seal and bearing for it.

Also taking apart the alternator as well for a refresh

Also picked up some of the stuff from the coaters, intake manifold, motor mounts and whatnot.

Fuel pressure regulator finally showed up, injectors and fuel rail are still MIA.

Also got moved into a 12x30 spot so I can finally work on my chit without my ******* neighbor crying about it every 5 seconds to the fire department.

Picked up a new tool cart to work out of for the time being and also is orange which is one of my favorite colors.

Only about half the stuff moved and still have more shelves to put up and also some racks to hang stuff out the way on the joists

Old school technique of lapping the valve to the valve seat to improve the seal.

Ran into a deals on wheels I couldn't pass up. I have already ordered a different flywheel which showed up yesterday (13lbs)however it's heavier by quite a bit compared to this Fidanza. This is the Ultralight 8lb version versus the stock 20lb flywheel. These originally were close to $500 and I got this one with a still in bag replacement friction plate for....80 Dollhairs.

Also got this tool to install the new valve springs. The one I used to remove the stock springs won't work with the far stiffer springs I am installing. This tool uses leverage to push the springs down.

Also ordered a new valve cover since this one looks alot nicer imo. And it has a coil cover to hide the plug wires.

Installed all the valve springs today.

On a whim I decided that I was going to build the block. It's an extra G or so but it's really good insurance that I won't have to worry about the bottom end for a long while.

King Swain coated bearings
Eagle Rods
CP or Braum Pistons 9.0 compression

Good thing I checked the main bearings as they had started grooving and the #1 bearing was starting to pit. I beat on this motor alot so it's not surprising.

Rods are already ordered so I can size all the bearings

I got it for 189 and frankly as far as I'm concerned the US General boxes are the best bang for the buck on the entire market. It had a small dent on the corner which I barely noticed and he knocked 55 bucks off

Waiting for chit to come in is the hardest part. Literally stockpiling stuff and waiting on misc bits like micrometers, bearings, main cap spacers etc

Just dropped another G on misc bullchit, Xcessive Intake manifold, some ARP Main bolts, Mazworx spacers and billet valve cover hardware, gaskets etc.

Waiting is super painful

Waiting is super painful
I know the feeling man. I sent some heads out to get ported in March along with dual springs/titanium retainers installed for $1800. 43 days later, the heads came back unported and just the springs/retainers were installed. The company (a reputable one) didn't even respond to my emails or offer a refund (nor did they do anything when I disputed the charge with the CC company). Sucks also when you have almost EVERYTHING sitting in front of you waiting for install but can't because you're waiting for just that one little thing you don't have.

Keep it up though... the updates are interesting.

Yep, waited 2 weeks for a simple resurface. I won't be doing any crazy machine work, I'll be doing a small bit of port work myself just to clean up casting burrs and smooth out the radius. The only machine work I plan on now is a quick hone, a line hone for the main studs and a hot tank for the block. I don't like relying on someone to take care of something at their leisure

Yeah I also hate not being in control of every aspect and love the satisfaction of doing everything myself. I saw your rep comment and it's not for the Viper, but for the Ultima RS kit car I'll be building in a few months when it arrives from England.

I just finished putting the engine back together last weekend- Chevy LT5 crate motor; ported Eaton 2650 supercharger with Griptec 2.7 pulley; Katech CNC ported heads(with valve job and blending); Johnson 2126LSR lifters; Texas Speed chromoly pushrods, stage 3 cam with +38% fuel lobe, and rocker arm/trunion upgrade; dual springs/titanium retainers; ARP headstuds, crank bolt, high pressure fuel pump bolts; cam phase limiter; displacement on demand delete. Only thing left is some custom valve covers and ID1050X injectors for the port injection since I'll probably run E85 exclusively. Should be easily over 1000hp.

Heads after I sent them out to Katech who ended up doing an awesome job and turning them around very quickly.

Figured you'd appreciate the work... won't be hijacking your thread any more than this.

Nah it's not any problem. My kind of hijack lol. Yeah some shops are great but they take their sweet time. When the JE pisons finally arrive in like 3 weeks or so the whole rotating assemble will be going to Gromm racing for a balance from the crank pulley to the flywheel.

Sounds like a wicked setup, ironically I am also planning on E85 and am currently converting all the lines to be compatible. Bosch EV14 2000cc injectors here. Should have enough fuel for 700hp at 4bar fuel pressure which I'll never( can't say never though) need.

Here is the new tool I'm fiddling with that I found in my mailbox. They are Sunex spring loaded bore gauges. You use these to figure out your bearing clearances. Stick em in the rod/main caps. Tighten em up, pull em out and then use a micrometer to get the size. Do each journal 3 times to get your average. Here I'm just using a machinist caliper which isnt the actual tool to use but to get the idea.

Ironically these are baller Starrett calipers that are accurate to a thousanths instead of the tenths most are but I still won't use em.
They did show up exactly perfect according to the manufacturers spec sheets on the rods though.

Most people don't want to **** with bearings or piston ring clearance cause it can deal with very small increments

Finally getting into some data points now that my Vernier micrometer showed up. Only the 2-3 inch so I can do the rods, main journals and main caps. The 1-2 inch should be here Wednesday to do the rod crank journals.

The crank mains are all within .0003 which is awesome. Rods are all within .0005 which is good too.

Hit a snag. Spent 850 for my pistons with this chit ass company and they are ducking me like a bitch

I don't want anything but a fuking update. If it's 4 weeks lead time whatever. Been almost 2 weeks and nothing. No response from phone calls, email, text, IG...nothing. Tomorrow I plan to call from a friend's phone and I bet they will answer. He will get his ass chewed out. I do not like getting ****ed around with my money. Frankly I might get petty and fly to the next event they say they will be attending to fuk his day up, I'm heated right now

I made a comment on someone's post that they waited 2 months for no response and I commented my situation....posts deleted. Second time, posts deleted so clearly they are monitoring things. I will be filing a dispute with Capitol One tomorrow.

The irony is they made some autistic looking post about someone stealing from them.

I literally placed a order with Gspec Performance today and got a tracking number before I finished my lunch. 20 something minutes

I ordered some custom machined main cap spacers and valve cover washers from Mazworx and they literally machined them and shipped em out the same day as well

[IMG]https://i.imgur.com/6dnxh2O.jpg[IMG]
I feel like that's an ever-present thing in the aftermarket performance industry- shady shops. I sent my heads to Weapon X for their CNC port job and asked that the springs/retainers I purchased by installed by them. They sent my heads back over a month and a half later with zero porting done and just the springs installed. I reached out to them and zero response. I called and they were like, "uhh, so you want a FULL refund for the port job?" Umm.. yeeaah...? They said they'd get back to me but never did so I disputed the charges and Chase refunded me everything.

Still not much to update.

Some chit finally showed up, transmission gaskets, 7 layer exhaust mani gasket, OEM GTIR main bearings and king rod bearings.

Still haven't seen the clutch. It was supposed to be here on the 8th, got like 20 minutes from my house and was returned to sender. The vendor did a change of address so it came back then started heading back to PA. Just checked the tracking and it's once again back in CA. I don't know what the fuk is going on.

Also a brand spanking new 20v valve cover straight from Nissan Japan
