Btw, when do we get to see your pics of your 360 to 200 lbs before and after pics?
I kind of want to post pictures at goal weight before and after eventual skin surgery.

It's not terrible considering I'm 5'8 and was 360 lbs with extremely high body fat %, but it's not great compared to someone who never stretched it at all. I mostly just want them to lop off my tits bro

Get it done if it'll help boost your confidence. Am I correct that you're a Brit? If so, does the NHS cover it?

I took a page from OP and ran around 3.5-4 day fast at the beginning of quarantine. Have been cutting ever since.

I should probably check my weight, but last I checked I was 208.

You always have all the luck.

Finished the 7 day today, broke with a very heavy meal of chicken biryani, was incredible, will pay for it tomorrow assuredly lol

Going home for the holiday, will be consuming a fukton of meats and alcohol. Very excited to have this week behind me going in, and will look to run another weeklong fast once I return.

So my 2.75 day fast was supposed to end today. Family prepared and ate either leftovers or stuff I didn't like. Today there's a big roast in the slow cooker and surprisingly not craving anything. Never really got hungry but the last 2 days the thought of eating was kind of driving me wild. Not so much right now. Might try and squeak out one more night depending on how family responds and eat normal lunch tomorrow. Any input from you guys in say, the next 1.5-2 hours?

May as well just plug on through another day in my opinion. You are past the hardest part and for me it's usually relatively asy coasting through about day 5 or so when it starts to get harder again.

Yeah I more or less already made up my mind. Less than 4 hours now until I'm in bed and after that it'll be easy to coast until later in the day.

Deer diary...just had 2 pounds of roast leftovers, total fast was around 90 hours. Lost 15 pounds of slough I gained during quarantine plus around 3 from baseline. That'll probably fluctuate from here on out. Didn't really feel mentally challenged but also felt some weird bloat yesterday evening. Wonder what that's about.

Nice, added to the list. Was the roast not incredible?

Yes, biryani is becoming one of my top foods recently for a celebration or a "cheat". It's incredible. I'm in for a fast next week if you are still planning to go through with it I've been on a two week eating spree.

Sorry I couldn't join you this week. I'm trying to fix my metabolism right now as I jacked it up through VLC over the past several weeks. Increased to 1000 calorie intake as of Sunday, hoping to regulate everything before I try again.

I have a question for you though. Most of the loss is from glycogen and water during these stints. How do you deal with the return of half (if not more) of the weight once you break from it? How do you maintain a good, working metabolism?

The VLC stuff doesn't work for me at all, even with some pretty good fasting intervals like 36 hours. I really wanted it to because it's more flexible, but I stay stagnant considering the amount of effort it takes. I seem to move the needle on these weeklong fasts.

Most of the loss is definitely not "real", but there's always a portion that I don't regain after the week longs that represent the real progress. Then on the next fast, it's still mostly water weight as always, but the end result is lower than the previous. Staying in keto allows the weight regain to be less severe, but I know it's going away on the next fast so I generally just deal with the bloat for a few days.

In terms of metabolism, mine was pretty terrible before I started fasting and it seems terrible now. I don't think I will get to a point where I can comfortably eat what I want and maintain without OMAD and eating most of my calories from meat. My eventual hope is to regain flexibility with lean mass, but still not a priority to me at the moment.

It's kind of fun tbh. It's a rollercoaster of physical and psychological effects over the course of the first few days, highs and lows.
