I took a page from OP and ran around 3.5-4 day fast at the beginning of quarantine. Have been cutting ever since.I should probably check my weight, but last I checked I was 208.

Finished the 7 day today, broke with a very heavy meal of chicken biryani, was incredible, will pay for it tomorrow assuredly lol
Going home for the holiday, will be consuming a fukton of meats and alcohol. Very excited to have this week behind me going in, and will look to run another weeklong fast once I return.

So my 2.75 day fast was supposed to end today. Family prepared and ate either leftovers or stuff I didn't like. Today there's a big roast in the slow cooker and surprisingly not craving anything. Never really got hungry but the last 2 days the thought of eating was kind of driving me wild. Not so much right now. Might try and squeak out one more night depending on how family responds and eat normal lunch tomorrow. Any input from you guys in say, the next 1.5-2 hours?

Deer diary...just had 2 pounds of roast leftovers, total fast was around 90 hours. Lost 15 pounds of slough I gained during quarantine plus around 3 from baseline. That'll probably fluctuate from here on out. Didn't really feel mentally challenged but also felt some weird bloat yesterday evening. Wonder what that's about.

I have a question for you though. Most of the loss is from glycogen and water during these stints. How do you deal with the return of half (if not more) of the weight once you break from it? How do you maintain a good, working metabolism?

Most of the loss is definitely not "real", but there's always a portion that I don't regain after the week longs that represent the real progress. Then on the next fast, it's still mostly water weight as always, but the end result is lower than the previous. Staying in keto allows the weight regain to be less severe, but I know it's going away on the next fast so I generally just deal with the bloat for a few days.
In terms of metabolism, mine was pretty terrible before I started fasting and it seems terrible now. I don't think I will get to a point where I can comfortably eat what I want and maintain without OMAD and eating most of my calories from meat. My eventual hope is to regain flexibility with lean mass, but still not a priority to me at the moment.
