Ah damn. I left it in as it's not really a Spoiler as such though as it's something that Chase let slip but isn't definitive I think. I think the ending is really still open to interpretation and mine was the same as yours.

Edit: Edited my comment to take out the 'Spoiler'.

Thanks so much. I've been at a loss since finishing my 4th Sopranos rewatch. I started Deadwood and the Americans but haven't been able to get into them. I always find the beginning of shows difficult, where you don't know who any of the characters are. Even with Breaking Bad I kept giving up during the first season as it didn't grip me but eventually stuck with it and by the third Season I was utterly enthralled.

I think you have to have patience with many of these shows unless it's some bullchit like 24, which is inferior to the shows mentioned above but is easier to get into from the start.

I hear you. I was watching the first episode of Breaking Bad when it first aired and turned it off within 5 minutes because Cranston was running around in his underwear. It took 2 more tries to settle in and give it a chance. It was a great series.

its GoT.

Its GoT because of how stellar the rest of the show was (yea season 7 was trash and season 8 was even worse, but the rest was GOAT) and because of how they betrayed every single character up to that point and ended with an ending that felt cheap due to said betrayal of characters.

I have no doubt that the books will end with Bran on the throne and Dany torching Kings Landing but those things arent inherently bad. What was bad was how the show got us to those events.

Not only that, the show resolved basically no other plot lines other than answering the quesrion of who ended up on the throne. Nothing about it was satisfying.

Yea the Sopranos was disappointing because you wanted more than a black screen but the Sopranos didnt completely betray every single character, it didnt leave dozens of intriguing plot lines on the table, and it didnt make zero sense based on what the rest of the series built up to

The Enterprise final was pretty bad.
Not sure about worst of all time though.

To be fair, with a series like Friends, they really had no other choice with the ending. Everyone is happy and moving on. Not like they could drop a bombshell like Phoebe has cancer or something in the finale.

The Shield ending is absolutely perfect. That show went from being a bit silly and overblown to just being amazing in the last couple of seasons. But yeah the feels in that ending. Vic got exactly what he deserved.

It was so out of place though bro, at the climactic moment of the entire series.

And then the last couple of scenes were a complete cop out, it's like they wrote themselves into a hole and couldn't get out of it.

You're right, but that's my problem with Friends. They did try and be serious every once in a while and that's not what I want in a sitcom.

Good cast as well.
Some cringey political stuff built into some episodes though.
Like when Dean Stockwell's character was talking about protesting alongside the lefty douchebags and how they were hard times...

So gonna say, the show wasn't great enough in the first place to belong in this list.

Twin Peaks is my favorite Series ever. Series 2 went garbage after the murder was solved (Lynch never intended to but was pressured by the networks). But the Lynk directed episodes (Pilot and the epidose where Maddie dies especially) are the best episodes of TV that exist.

I abhorred Season 3. I know it's critically adored but it just felt so hostile and ugly, which I guess was the intention. It was almost like a fukk you to the world of Twin Peaks and the fans. I don't know.

They should have just left that alone. Half the cast passed away and others didn't want to take part.

Was sad seeing the cast so old. Audrey and Shelly used to be so hnnnnnnng. Age hasn't been kind to them.

At least Lara Flynn Boyle wasn't in it. Donna used to be so cute now she looks like a different species altogether.
