I gave an example of how they did. Maybe you should be more clear about what you mean from the beginning?
Seems like most of your cop encounters were initiated by the police, for some sort of minor infraction? I really dislike those petty cops trying to write tickets for going 5 mph over the limit too man.
My only point is that, cops do serve an essential purpose, but there are also some cops who do seem out to get you. There's some of both.

During a time when they thought water made you weak and you weren't allowed any until practice was over. This during 100 degree practices where you weren't allowed to take off your helmet.
Did I complain? No. Why? Because I signed up for it.
Went thru similar verbal treatment in basic training.
Lastly any man who has been married for 10 years is completely used to this kind of communication with females.
So I don't see the big deal.

"where were the police" ...
